3 Tips For Your Interview
These are great, easily memorable tips to use when interviewing. These tips will come in handy when I begin preparing to apply for positions after completing my MBA. We see there are three simple rules: be minimalist and simple when entering the interview and don't bring anything that will cause distraction, mirror the interviewers demeanor and body language, and and do not talk about salary or benefits. Bottom line, go into an interview calm, confident and conversational.

Interviewing is always stressful and nerve wracking. I have had 3 interviews in the last month for different positions. Each interview is different. Everything depends on the person who is interviewing you. I have been to interviews that were strict and formal; I have also been to interviews that were very laid back and casual. I think mirroring your interviewer is a great technique that will help you to set the right tone for the interview.

I'm sorry but interviews are literally the worse way to measure someones character of if they are right for the job. Everyone that comes into a interview acts the way the employer wants them to or what they perceive the employer wants. To me its a horrible tool to use to measure a persons capability and skills, but cool video.

This video gave three great tips when being interviewed. Be minimal, pay attention, don't negotiate salary. An interview can be stressful and it's hard to stay focused and easy to ramble on. So keeping to these basic tips can be very helpful. Avoid being distracted by leaving things such as cell phone, drink, and even a purse in your car. Being prepared for an interview is very helpful as well don't use body language especially mimicking the interviewer.

Great advice. I especially like when they say to be minimalistic. Its important to appear cool calm and collecting when interviewing. Not overwhelmed and over loaded. I think if you go into an interview with a pen and a pad it appears that you mean business and nothing else is more important then the interview.

This video serves as a great tip for me, as I am graduating soon and will be going to interviews hopefully. I still remember I carried my purse into my last interview, luckily my phone did not go off, it would have been awkward if it did. I will remember not to bring anything but a notepad and a pen with me next time, and try to avoid any distraction.

Be minimalistic, do not take interviewers up on their refreshments, if they laugh you can laugh, mirror the interviewers body language, negotiate later. These are all good points when going for an interview. This is a great video for any college student to watch and take note on. By following these steps you will have a more successful interview and will be more relaxed.

cool video, it was pretty short but has some pretty good advice. make sure you keep your pockets empty is good advice, you should give the interview your complete and undivided attention. another good point was to make sure you mirror the interviewers body language, you don't want to give them a reason to feel uncomfortable.

Interviews can make or break your career. You must know how to read your interviewer. Smalls signals can make or break your chances. Learning interview etiquette before going can put the odds in your favor.

This video contained some excellent tips for having a successful interview. I agree that you should keep your hands and pockets empty to avoid distractions. Mirroring your interviewer's body language is something that I tend to have trouble doing because I am usually nervous during interviews. I liked the response they gave for negotiating a salary later also.

I like this video and I try to do all of these things when on an interview. Its fairly easy for me to feel comfortable around other people. The interview process is always talked about like a scary thing. Its not. You just have to be prepared.

I like the short, simple three tips during an interview. I think these tips were good and professional tips that many people wouldn't think about being crucial to a successful job interview. It's a useful quick video to get a good idea of what a professional interview should not consist of for someone going on an interview for the first time. I think emptying your pockets is important for me personally because I normally mess with things in my pockets when I am nervous. Some of the things she mentioned I felt were common sense but they were all important points.

Honestly, I think the best interview advice is to not let your nerves and emotions get the best of you. I have been in an interview when I was overcome by my nervousness and was not able to perform at my best level. I think the tips in the video state the obvious.
