All business men and women should think innovative in order to generate new ideas which, in turn, maximize profits for their firm. This will make them more engaged and have better job satisfaction in the long-run. By doing this, it will create a more quality product and keep the job market on its toes with innovative thinkers.

When it comes to thinking like an innovator, there are four ways to help to put you in a better frame of mind. The most important of these four ways is to learn from your mistakes. Re-assess your approach to help learn how you were wrong.

This video just reminds us of how important innovation is. Without change, a business will not survive in a changing world. I feel like many business aspects are related and almost repetitive. However, it's always good to be reminded of what it takes to make it out there.

I like his advice about being aware that your new product is right and wrong. No idea or product will always be prefect. But how we react to the weaknesses define who you are. If you take the criticisms and change our product to be what people want, then you will have success. I will remember this when I come up with a product or idea.

I like this video, it attacks the basics of how we can overcome innovation block. Perspective is certainly a good place to begin. If you maintain a narrow view of what you're trying to accomplish, it wont be accomplished. Broadening your idea of what you're dealing with lets you find ways around a problem. Also, he makes a great point about plans. Don't assume your plan is right the first time around, it's most likely a developing process that you can learn from each time. It also takes work, like everything else. It's important that ideas remain "new", returning to old forms of operation is counterproductive. Out of the four, i think the first and last are extremely important to keep in mind.

This video didn't really tell me anything that I didn't already know. I knew that you need to evaluate your external environment and listen to what consumers want.

Thinking like an innovator can be difficult. Anticipating what consumers need takes practice. Listening to your customers is really important. Video was not the informative.

This video is pretty dull and repetitive of what I've already learned in business classes. So I'll evaluate it from a marketing standpoint. Innovators in marketing are very important because they are who determines whether the business either succeeds or fails. Thinking like an innovator is important because you're willing to take risks and see the best in everything, but for those same reasons it can be dangerous.

Four simple ways that can make a huge impact. I like the embrace your inner Edison. You have to "sweat" to get where you want to be. Never settle always working and doing.

It is important to adopt a new frame of mind to succeed. The 4 ways that he talked about becoming an innovator were original yet helpful. So much of innovation is listening to what your customers have to say. You have to get out there, try it out, and fail in order to succeed. So much of innovation is learning from mistakes and seeing what you can do better the next time around. People like Thomas Edison certainly didnt succeed on their first try. But its all the times he failed that he learned from his mistakes and resulted in one of the most successful innovations ever.

This video has several bits of good advice. I liked how he described innovating as finding new answers to old problems. Companies are really just creating new products for the same problems. Almost every social media site or app is developed with either the intention to make people feel connected and not alone, or as something to do because you are bored. They are just coming up with new ways to fix these same problems. Another good piece of advice is assuming that your idea is partially wrong and partially right. After your idea comes to life is when you get to see your plan in action and see what you will need to fix. Without fixing anything, you will be achieving the same result repeatedly. Though simple advice, it is very useful and helpful.

I feel like this video did not present any new information to me. I believe the concepts explained are important to remember and understand but it just felt like a repeat of everything I’ve learned over the years in school especially the first part with keeping an external focus. I feel like this video can be useful for someone new to business but repetitive to others who know these tricks.

The video was okay. I have heard all these before, so did not learning anything new. But if someone has never learned these things I would defiantly show them this video. It is informative if you have never heard them before.

I don't know about anyone else, but I almost felt as though I was being talked to like a child. I don't feel as though this guy really gave any inspiring or deep thinking perspectives for being innovative. Basically, we need to truly understand and accept what our weaknesses and strengths are and use those to propel us forward. After that, we need to monitor the external environment, whether it be competition, industry changes, worldwide dynamics, etc., we need to be aware of the world around us. And lastly, we need to have an idea that can capitalize upon products and services that customers already enjoy, but cannot enjoy to such a level that this new innovation will provide. If we can operate within our means, understand our environment, and capitalize on our ideas, we can become innovators and make products and offer services that help shape the world.

I liked the advice here and the quote from Mike Tyson. This video would have been brilliant though if Mike Tyson had been the speaker. I think he would bring immediate credibility to the video.
