Every manager is faced with a difficult decision. And as a manager you need to be comfortable when delivering the bad news. It'd definitely not easy but you need to do what is best for the company. If you have to fire someone you cannot let your emotions get in the way of it. You are there to make money, but you should do it in a good manner.

Delivering bad news can be just as hard as receiving it. Its important to know what you are going to say and to stay professional but yet nice. If I had to fire someone i can imagine it would be very difficult. I would have to almost put my game face on so that I can almost separate myself from the situation.

No one ever wants to be the person to give you bad news. It is hard to break certain situations to people becasue you never know how they might react to the news.

I am glad that I have not had to go through delivering bad news to someone. I agree though that it is something that you should probably spend a while preparing for. It isn't easy to tell someone that you are changing their lives and taking away their income. I can't imagine that anyone would take that well. Thinking about this gives me a new respect for managers and some of the things that they have to go through in their jobs.

You never want to be the bear of bad news but that is apart of your role as a manager. I have had the luxury of hiring, training, and firing people as a manager in my restaurant. The hardest part for me is to draw the line of being a friend and a manager because I am young and most cases younger than the people I manage.

I liked this video it was short and to the point. He gave good facts on how to take action in a difficult time. Be blunt and too the point and think about how the other person will react. This is a good video for anyone in the workplace to watch.

People don't like to give or receive bad news. So it is important that managers prepare themselves when delivering bad news. Being honest and straight to the point is always the best approach. Another important factor that managers should be trained in being able to handle the reactions that people have when receiving bad news.

As a manager, you have to be comfortable delivering bad news. If you have to fire somebody, you have to do it with confidence and not try to ease the pain for them. You cannot let your emotions get in the way of running your business effectively. You are in the business to make money, not to coddle your employees and try not to hurt their feelings

Delivering bad news is a hard thing for managers to do. You have to realize what's best for the company and keep personal insights out of the picture. As a manger, I am faced with difficult decisions often. the key is to stay positive and motivated. Also know that what you are doing will benefit the company later.

This video was very straight-forward, the same way delivering bad news should be. Bad news should be delivered concisely, clearly, and gently. There is no way to know how someone is going to react, so it is best to plan for many different reactions before giving bad news. I have never had to fire someone and I have no idea how I might act or how I might act to the reaction of the person.

It is important to be honest and understanding when delivering difficult news. Also, it is important to realize the time and manner the news is being delivered in. Being able to respond to positive and negative feedback is also important.

being blunt and to the point is the best way to deliver bad news. It get the event of delivery out the way. Plus it leads to closure for the news bearer.
