It is important for us to manage our energy rather than our time. We have to have the energy to be able to get all the things done we need to do. We have to conserve our energy and not push ourselves to do more than we can. By focusing on the four types of energy, we can be successful. In order to accomplish things we have to take care of ourselves.

I enjoyed watching this video. As Schwartz points out the four types of energy we use to work: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual, I honestly couldn't agree more. So many people think that you need just one of these 4 assets in order to accomplish something. I think that in order to be the most successful as possible at something, you should have a balance of all four. It is very important to take care of yourself and your loved ones. In business, people get so wrapped up in their tasks for work that they forget to take care of themselves and it ends up hurting them in the long run.

Interesting take on bigger, faster stonger, that it equals narrow, shallow, short term. I agree with conserving our physical energy and not worrying about the time as much. Because the reason we cannot do something is because we are tired. I also agree when he said, technology runs us instead of us running the technology. He goes on about conserving energy but does not exactally say what to do to conserve it. I do not feel that I am that creative. I do need to work on being more creative. I love to paint and draw but I always copy something. It is not an orginial peice of art.

This video has a lot of good points. I am always running out of energy. I had no idea that humans needed four different types of energy. Companies always think that by adding longer work hours they will accomplish more. Really, workers need to be in good condition to perform their best. I thought he made some interesting points when he said Honesty without compassion is cruelty and Tenacity without prudence is recklessness. These are very good pieces of information for managers and executives to take into consideration. Whether they are being honest, or blunt, or taking a chance or just being dangerous, managers need to be clear on what their actions are and what repercussions they can have. Without working with energy, because employees are working around the clock, they can make these mistakes because they will be exhausted and not realize they are being reckless and cruel to others.

In order for us to be successful, we need to focus on the 4 types of energy that are spoken of in this video: Physical, Emotional, Mental, and Spiritual. In our lives, we have many demands, responsibilities, and things pulling at us and requiring our time. Oftentimes, we can get very overwhelmed by everything going on and can shut down, resulting in us accomplishing nothing. Whenever we go through our lives, we need to fully understand each of our strongest points along with our deepest weaknesses. One of the most important aspects that need to be maintained in your life is balance. Without balance of some kind, your entire world will collapse or become lopsided, causing your effectiveness to lower. By fully understanding what we are best at and focusing our energy in such a way that allows us to balance our strengths with our weaknesses, while also continuing to improve our weaknesses, we can change our lives to a much more positive and productive lifestyle. Finding balance is critical in finding your personal success and growth.

Lots of great information in this video. We need to understand that while time is limited, energy can be expanded, renewed, and used more efficiently. We need to learn to think outside the box when it comes to each of the four types of energy. It is important to embrace our weaknesses and acknowledge our shortcomings.

This video hits on some major points about energy. We live in a world that is constantly changing, which makes our obligations far outweigh our time in most cases. We need to figure out a way to keep our productivity and ingenuity at a steady pace that corresponds with our time management. We run ourselves ragged over all of our different obligations in life and that is why that leisure time and breaks from the workplace are meant to be enjoyed.

This video is very true. When one of the four aspects he mentioned is not on track, it is harder to "work" that day. We as humans our emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical, as stated really do determine how we will operate that day. I have always heard people use the phrase "work smarter not harder". However, that statement can really only be applied when all four aspects are in a peace of mind at that time.

I liked this video, it talked about the ability to be able to handle responsibilities at a fast pace. Motivation requires so much more enegery now than it did because of the changing factors in our lives. One should come up with ways that they can award themselves with to get motivatesd to work faster.

This video is really an eye opener and I feel more people should watch this to understand how we are living is not necessarily the right way. We are requiring ourselves to over expand and go at such a high demand that we aren't going to be able to catch up but most importantly our resources. I like how he said that humans are designed to pulse between spending energy and renewing energy not like a computer and we end up running more like a computer. He speaks about four types of energy we as humans use to work: physical, emotional, mental, spiritual. All of these work differently for us to work. I need to apply some of these things to my life. I need to learn how to renew and spend my energy whether that to be cost effective or focus on a difficult task at work. I love ted videos!

It is important to manage your energy properly in order to produce results. When doing schoolwork, the more I do, the more my energy drains. I find it best to try and do assignments and studying in small increments instead of long all-nighters. The quality of my work is better and I don’t feel as stressed. It’s also important to take care of ourselves and our needs so that we can help the people we care about. If I don’t take care of myself, it will be difficult or impossible to help those around me.

Cool video. Different levels of energy reflects our different activities and emotions. Learning how to use and reuse our energy is important. How we spend our energy results in the overall success we have. If we improperly manage our energy, when it is needed the most, it is non-existent.

This video is very informative and speaks a lot to me as a person. The sources of energy: physical, emotional, mental and spiritually. Made sense and are explained very well by the presenter. The main thing I got from the video was just how important it is to renew our energy then spend it intentionally and understanding that the energy needs to be renewed if we are to accomplish anything. Another aspect that I took from the video was the aspect of loving oneself in all levels and taking care of yourself well enough to actually be able to do the same for others.

Mr.Schwartz was very inspirational. He described the four types of energy we utilize to function which are: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. First, we have to address our own needs. We must focus on the realization that we do not have the power to make everything happen with just a snap our our fingers. We also need to do the things that we can, and be well aware of both our strengths and weaknesses.

He is very quotable. He makes great points about energy and how to harmonize it into success as humans. I felt the speech was really long and drawn out. I wasn't involved in what he said because of his inability to tell me something I didn't know. I like when messages are delivered differently than I have ever heard before. I felt like I was in a lecture that had been spoken by someone before him.
