I am the biggest procrastinator and at the age of 22 I have accepted it. I work better under pressure and do my best work when I am crunched for time. This is because I do not have any other choice, I have to get it done and I know it has to be good. So instead of working on it a little here and then a little there, along with doing a few other things, I buckle down and get the task accomplished. Sometimes it takes all nighters, but ultimately the task is done. I really like this video because it talks about how productive procrastination can be. Whenever I am procrastinating on a certain thing, I tench to do everything else that is at the bottom of my to-do like, but ultimately those tasks need to be accomplished too so I am being a productive procrastinator.

I like the idea of making procrastination productive. I am actually doing that right now; I should be working on my econ and finance paper, but instead I’m doing my links of the day. This is a good things, because these links must be done, and since I am a bit behind, I am getting something done, just not what is really looming over my head and what I know is going to take a really long time to do. I believe that as you take other things off of your plate, the larger thing you are avoiding doesn’t seem as bad as it did when you had it plus the other smaller tasks. I will use this idea and promote it to others. The main thing is to not miss your deadline and to not turn in sub-par work due to procrastination. Many people are able to work better under pressure, so that is also a check mark for procrastination.

Procrastination my middle name and this video is the story of my life. I am the most productive when I am procrastinating. Just recently I had homework that I needed to get done. It was a Saturday and I had to do it that day. So instead of doing it first thing in the morning, which is the best thing to do when you have something you do not want to do, I cleaned the house for five strait hours. After cleaning the house I took a television break and rested before finally getting to that homework. I could have woke up, did my homework, and had the rest of my Saturday to enjoy, but i choose a different route. As a result I did have a clean house on top of the completed homework so I guess it all worked out.

The whole idea of "productive procrastination" seems like a contradiction. When I'm procrastinating it's not a choice i make where i say to myself "hey, i think i wanna procrastinate right now." Procrastination just kind of happens. That's why I think the idea of being productive during procrastination is kind of ridiculous.

when I first saw the title i was confused. I like the message of the video to still be productive while you're procrastinating. This video has been very insightful. Now I know ways to be productive while putting something off. I will use the insight I gained from the video in my everyday life personal, school, and work.

I’ve never heard of this before by this is probably the most practical video I’ve seen so far. It offers a clear solution. Often times I completely waste time when procrastinating when I could be completing smaller, less intimidating assignments. The idea of having a pile and working down the pile ensures you are completing work rather than wasting time. In addition, you will have more time later on because the work has been completed already. You will also complete the work with a happier attitude because the work is seen as a better alternative to the larger project. I will certainly use this motivational technique in the future.

Hahaha. My house is really clean lately and i am just getting to posting these forums. Even though i have taken time to get to doing these things i am ahead on many other school projects. If you wait till the end of the semester you will find everyone scurrying to finish something. I guess this is mine,

Procrastination creates time and motivation. It is good to procrastinate in an effective way. When you procrastinate, you should clean or brainstorm. Even though you are not doing what you think you should be doing, you can still be productive in other aspects of life.

When it comes to schoolwork, procrastination is my ultimate weakness (especially links of the day). I always find myself choosing to do smaller schoolwork over my most major project at the time. I guess according to her, I procrastinate productively most of the time. I am always putting down schoolwork to clean or do laundry just so I can put it off longer. However, for some reason I cannot just sit around and watch tv instead of doing homework.

i could not agree more with this one. i always find myself doing this, some of the best things we can do with procrastination is allow it to get us doing at least something productive. i remember when i needed to do school work, or study for finals last semester, it was always the week where my car was cleanest and my room was organized.

I can definitely relate to this video. I am guilty of procrastination as are many others. I thought this video was interesting, using the time that you are procrastinating to do something that is productive but maybe not as productive it a good way to get other things that you may need finished, done. Ultimately procrastinating is not a very good thing but if you have trouble with it try using it to your advantage.

This video was very helpful to me on a personal level. I am a procrastinator. There is no doubt in my mind. I put things off until the absolute last second regardless of how stressed out it may make me. Procrastination has always been a problem for me, and I never get anything done. The solution this video provides is simple, and I think it will help with my overall productivity. I may not get the big things done ahead of time, but I am sure that the inconsequential things that need to be taken care of will be accomplished.

I really enjoy these videos about procrastination because I am a procrastinator. One thing that I already do is attempt to work on a project a little at a time even if it is not a large amount just so i can be continually working toward that goal. I don't think I will ever overcome procrastination but with the right practices I will be able to handle it better.

I am already a productive procrastinator and didn't know that it had a name but I do not agree with it or think it is a good idea to do. In the video she talks about doing something productive while your procrastinating and then at least your still accomplishing something. Well I already do this. I'll do the dishes or work on something outside and accomplish things while I'm putting off a paper I have to write. By doing this I am only stressing myself out more and it does not help me in any way or make myself feel better. Instead it just stresses me out more because that is more time I spent on something that didn't have to be done and even less time on what I really had to do so that I could be stress free because I got done what had to be done. I don't think this was good advice at all.
