I agree with this video that when it comes to the to-do list, if there is something that has been put off, at least do something on the list even if it isn’t “the” thing being put off. I feel that is what I do when I have many little assignments and one big assignment that would take a lot of time. Once I get the other assignments done, I feel accomplished and that I can tackle the one I have been putting off. I hope that I can become better with my procrastination when I start working.

Procrastination is one of the hardest things that I deal with. Although it is not good to procrastinate, I would say that Im a pro at it. Doing things last minute causes me to be under pressure and do a great job! I like that she emphasizes doing something productive even when you are procrastinating. Although it may be fun to just sit there and scroll through your social media sites, it is literally only eating your time. This is something that you have not gained anything from yet it has taken you away from your other task. I will remember to be more productive when procrastinating next time it comes up.

I can do some procrastinating myself. It is so true that people find so many other things to do than what actually needs to be done. And they are right in this video, anything else does seem like a piece of cake. It is a great idea when procrastinating to do some other things instead of facebook, pinterest, instagram, etc.. Checking emails, planning homework schedules, cleaning and organzing are great things to get accomplished and you don't feel like a lazy bum after you have done all that. I am the type to have to have everything clean and all the small stuff out the way before I study or start on a big assignment or a project.

I have just recently gotten better about my procrastination because I literally became so overwhelmed and stressed in previous semesters that I cannot allow myself to get to those points again. After staying awake until 6am writing a paper on more than one occasion, with work the next morning, I realized I needed to fix something. I discovered that by doing all the easy things for a big task ahead of schedule makes completing my big task easier and without spending as much time on it. For papers, I can usually get my references and works cited out of the way and do an introduction paragraph well before getting into the details of the body of the paper. Even if it is not much, I realized that by just getting started on something, helps with relieving my stress level and makes a big difference.

I guess I agree with her but I try my best not to procrastinate. I try to think about things like, if I can get this work done then I do not have to worry about doing it on Saturday when I want to hangout with my friends. I do agree that checking facebook or organizing your pens is bad procrastination. So I guess there is good and bad procrastination.

Im a huge procrastinator but I have fixed that a lot by having my to-do lists, it helps me see what all I need to get done and makes me get them done quicker. I'm not going to lie and say i don't get side tract because this is something I really struggle with. I find that when I procrastinate I get more of my other "chores" done such as laundry, errands, organizing, etc. I would rather do anything but that one thing I'm supposed to be doing. In fact I'm acually procrastinating cleaning my house right now and school work seems more appealing. I never knew this was called productive procrastination.

I absolutely love this idea. I am the queen of procrastination. I normally put something off and feel absolutely terrible about doing it. I learned in this video that while procrastinating on one task, I can still be productive on another. The task that I choose to do while procrastinating on another will seem much easier. Great idea! I can't wait to try it.

Finally procrastination is good only if you do worthwhile things. I like that not wasting your time just building up your motivation to do that big project. As my mom always says "do not put off what you can do today to tomorrow".

I never looked at procrastination that way. I always thought and felt that when I was procrastinating, I was being lazy and avoiding what I absolutely needed to get done. But after watching this video, I realized that I'm not actually being lazy, that I'm being more productive and just looking for inspiration. Procrastination is much more than just looking through Facebook or playing random games on our computers. Procrastination can be used for more productive things like cleaning or organizing.

While I think this video is a little over the top, the general concept behind the idea is actually quite accurate. I'm a pretty organized person and I like for each assignment, project, etc to have its own place and time. However, just like every other student, I'll find myself playing on the computer, watching YouTube, etc. Generally, I will DREAD doing any new project or writing some sort of paper. With that dread, I'll almost always go accomplish some small task, whether it be clean my car windows, get a snack, etc. After I complete that small project or even projects, I'll often feel more motivated to complete my paper or large task that is haunting me. It is extremely weird how it all works, but completing small tasks will make you feel much more productive and much more motivated to complete whatever large task you may have looming over your head.

This video could not be more true. I feel like I am a huge procrastinator and most of my friends are too. While procrastinating I truly find myself doing other things that I would not be doing (ie. Laundry, cleaning, dishes, etc.) Being productive while you think you are being counterproductive isn't so bad, right?

I always tell myself I will not procrastinate studying or doing homework but I always do. Take these links of the day for example, I told myself I was going to catch up with them at the beggining of the Mardi Gras break, but that did not happen. I procrastinated until the end of the break to do them. Although, I was doing other productive things, just like vidoe said to do.

I agree with everything she said. The key is to work smarter not harder and that is exactly the point. Everyone procrastinates, what matters is what your doing while your procrastinating. Are you checking emails or are you checking facebook. Always try to be productive no matter if it's simply cleaning your office or writing your report. It helps to know your time was never wasted.

Nice tongue ring. This made me feel a whole lot better. I've been procrastinating readying my book for our book report due in a few weeks, but hey, at least I'm finally getting these Link of the Days done! This coincides with one of my past quick replies when forming a to-do list, but instead of completing the most important task first, she says that it's ok to work on the small things, as long as you do SOMETHING.

Although I do not consider myself a procrastinator, I found this video useful. It's a good idea to do something important while you are procrastinating about something you don't want to do. I hope this will come in handy when I move into the professional world. Maybe there will come a time when I don't get a project done on time but i have come up with a new and innovative idea!
