It is important to have a nice power point presentation to bring across your message. I like how she says write your paper first before getting into the slides. Make simple straight to the point slides that have an impact. Sketching your slides on post it notes is a very neat trick that i might try next time i have a power point. Using this in your career will allow you to have a fun and exciting presentation.

I personally do not care for public speaking and am not very good at it. But this video shows how to make your presentations better. The suggestions that were given can definitely help me to develop new and creative ideas for my presentations.

I really enjoyed this video, and will definitely use the information in it for future presentation preparation. Hearing the tip to make slides that audience can read in 3 seconds was eye opening and I agree completely. If people watching your presentation are spending the entire time reading the slides, they wont be paying attention to what you have to say. I usually practice this when I prepare a powerpoint, in that on 90% of my slides I only put the title of the topic with a fitting picture so the audience will pay attention to the information I am speaking on.

I have made a few slide show for group projects in my day. Most of the time there is someone in the group who gets supper excited about making a slide show. I am not this person. So I offer to do some other part of the project in trade. One part I will do is the presentation. even though I will still get nervous it is better than making slides.

I agree but visual aids do help a lot of people who are nervous and cannot make public speeches. However, I tend to do a lot better in classes where the teacher lectures more and doesn't read the slides. It gets distracting and I already know how to read. I feel like a teacher is interacting more and helping me understand more when there is a lecture, but power points can be useful to drive a point home or across.

I believe power points slides are the best. Power Point Slides allow an speaker to engage with there audience by using audible and visual concepts combine together. Power Point slide allows the present to be organize and focus on the key facts at hand. But I believe that power point slides are very useful in presentation because it gives the audience a visual and audible perception of what the communicator is presenting.

I feel like that the message of this video is so obvious, yet people still decide to make mediocre, boring power points! We all know what it's like to go to class, and sit there wondering why we even showed up. It is not fun watching a boring power point, nor is a good feeling to see people bored throughout a presentation you yourself are making. In order to prevent observers from falling asleep, you need to create an eye catching, interesting presentation without going overboard. You should never read straight off of slides, but let them compliment what you are already saying.

This video has great information on presentation performance. I have always been told that less is more. Meaning that too much information on a slide can confuse and intimidate the viewer. It also encourages the presenter in being more familiar with the presentation since the information is not on the slides. In my opinion, slides should be informative but influence the viewer to pay attention to obtain the most pertinent information. Slides should also be entraining with photos or such to not lose the viewers attention.

I love this video. I completely agree with it. Slides should be a visual aid, not the entire presentation. It is so easy to let your mind wander when someone has a very complicated slide or a slide with too much information. This video also gave some helpful tips on how to organize your presentation and how to streamline your slides.

I personally create slides to benefit from when presenting. I like the idea of making it for the audience because it can cause them to be more engaged in the presentation.
