Having a bad boss is almost unavoidable. Throughout your lifetime I am sure that there will a boss that you may not essentially care for. the video is very true, if you do not like who you work for the you will make yourself sick. With watching this video and hearing the facts is outrageous on how a bad boss can affect a company. I feel that companies should really spend a good amount of time on finding a good boss.

I can honestly agree and say that there are only one or two bosses that I actually liked in a handful of jobs I have had. In many of my jobs, there wasn't really a higher person that I could report to except for my boss, which disallowed me to speak to anyone about poor jobs or efforts put forth by the boss. I could definitely see how bad bosses can cost a company significantly, and all companies should make sure to have meetings for managers to attend on how to be a better boss for the sake of the companies success.

First I want to know where this women gets her numbers. All I am saying is how do they calculate how much money we lost throughout the whole U.S. economy from what we didn't do. example: from employees and bad bosses not getting along. I not saying we don't loose money. I just want to know where she is getting this data about people not communicating. Its like talking about the numbers of men that have been raped. the numbers are not their because most men wouldn't talk about it.

Having a bad or difficult boss is something I feel everyone will encounter in their life but the video is right its all how you deal with the situation. Something drew you to that job in that particular field so do you move around it or do you fight it every step of the way until you have had enough. I do believe it is the companies job to employ bosses that are well trained as well.

I've dealt with my share of bad bosses and it was a horrible experience. When employees is mistreated it equates to less productivity in the work place. Employees love coming to work in a nice atmosphere but when the employee feel as though there not appreciated or is being verbally abused will cause them to be less engaged at the workplace at ultimately will leave to find a job that is more peaceful and one where the boss respect the people that are working for them.

Good video I agree that horrible bosses hurt the company in more ways than one. How are bad bosses created? What makes a bad boss? I think if the person hired to be in that position should be evaluated often to ensure he is performing and carryout that companies goals and values daily. If a particular shift or area has an extremely high turnover rate, that manger should be re-evaluated and closely monitored.

It is truly important that a boss possess a great attitude because it carries on to employees. A boss, manager, or any other superior directly relates to employee production. Having a bas boss creates a stressful relationship within the company. It can create overall bad work ethics.

The statistics in this video are not surprising. Employee turnover is a huge problem for companies these days. Companies with better bosses have productivity and lower overall costs (health, turnover, etc.). At one of my past jobs, employee turnover was incredibly high. I believe the average length of employment was around 6 months. The regional manager had to come in and take over because of the complaints employees were making. Word spread through town just how miserable of a workplace it was.

The video goes into detail on how much productivity is lost when employees are not ring treated properly. I've experiences this stress and loss of productivity first hand with a boss that was negative an not promoting a comfortable work environment. When a boss puts too much stress on you, you tend to go into a little shell and try to hide from the stressors, making your confidence to get the work done go down. These are the type of bosses who forget they are human just as well. A bad boss causes the most stress at your job

Bad bosses definitely cause stress. I can understand why hiring cost would be high in a situation like this. The turnover is at a great rate because people want to feel appreciated at work.
