WSJ Interview: Kris Jenner And The Business of The Kardashians
I think Kris Jenner makes great points about how to improve ratings and likability of a show or product. The product (or show) must be able to find a way into people's homes. People must be able to relate to what they are watching or buying. If their is no relation, then there won't be a connection. I will say I am not a very big fan of reality TV nor the Kardashians, but it is interesting to see their life as a "business." I did not know their clothing line was as successful as it was.

WSJ Interview: Kris Jenner And The Business of The Kardashians
I personally hate the kardashians so I don't listen to any advice given by them. Kris Jenner did however become a smart businesswoman and helped make her daughters' last name a brand so I commend on her for that.

The empire that Kris Jenner has built with her family is totally unheard of. And a lot of people don't fully understand what they do. But they have so completely immersed themselves in marketing their family, and are successful. Each of the Kardashians have die hard fans that would buy anything they put their name on, people who watch every single episode of the show, while still achieving their dreams of fashion design or modeling or creating socks. They have truly achieved so much, it's amazing.

The Kardashian's have made themselves a worldwide brand. Love 'em or hate 'em, they have become hugely successful. I think because they have made themselves so open and available and have such strong personalities, people have become so interested in their lives and feel like they know them. It started with their TV show becoming a hit and then they took that and ran with it, making them a household name. They now have perfume, makeup, clothes, nail polish, etc. etc. They found a way to capitalize on their success and expand their brand.

I would not share this with friend and colleagues. I feel that this video is like hitting the lottery. It is something from the fantasy island. I felt the interview spoke of how the Kardashian's have made it and how strong their work ethic really is. I just feel that for most ordinary people that struggle and put in hard work that this is not real and the young generation gets caught up in trying to become some of these girls. This family has money and is living the life of millionares and do not feel it is a good example of how this young generation should pick their role models.

I enjoyed this video because I actually like that show. I didn't know that she had ten kids. I also didn't realize that the whole show is how everyone is naturally and isn't scripted. I do enjoy watching the show because it is very entertaining for me to watch. The fact that all the mother's kids are productive in pursuing their dreams is amazing.

I have followed this show for years and they are very successful. They have it figured out. Sometimes it is hard to watch but its very entertaining. They travel all over the places, they are funny, fashionable, caring people. I could learn a few things about how they run their business.

TITLE: WSJ Interview: Kris Jenner And The Business of The Kardashians
I am glad to see that Kris Jenner has a good since of business, but I don’t think it has anything to with her family’s success. I think her family’s success is the cause of her good since of business. They were lucky enough to be popular and wealthy from the beginning. Their name and wealth is all they need for their business and it requires hardly no knowledge or skills on their part.

I, personally, am not a fan of the Kardashians. I find that the reason they became famous is from 2 factors, 1. Rob Kardashian Sr. was the attorney for the OJ Simpson case, and 2. Kim Kardashian did a sex tape that went viral. I have to say that I disagree with what Kris Jenner was saying. If they wanted to fashion designers, they should have started out like most people do and work hard, not have a reality show that skyrocketed them to fame.

I don't like Kris Jenner nor her techniques bringing her daughter's to fame. I don't doubt that they work hard but they sell clothes because they are famous. They are famous because Kris Jenner has taught them to gain fame at any price. Even encouraging her own daughter to pose for playboy. They were lucky and I can't see them being relevant ten year from now.

The Kardashians display a deep sense of transparency in everything they do. By having their own show and being on camera, their audience tends to feel very close with them (regardless of how they act off camera). This closeness creates a customer base through the exploitation of human emotion. Anything they make, major fans will, most likely, want to buy. Transparency is a huge selling point. Other businesses with open production processes have experienced similar successes. Customers want to have feelings towards what they are buying...it makes buying things more exciting and differentiated!

While I do not agree with some of the personal decisions that Kris Jenner and her family have made over the years, it is undeniable that she has turned her family's last name into a nationally recognized 'brand.' She has captured a fiercely loyal audience that craves to keep up with every move they make, and made a lot of money doing this. While some may think their show is distasteful, one cannot hide from the fact that hundreds of thousands tune in every week and keep that revenue stream pumping.

I think Kris has done a great job with marketing her family. Know one can live a normal life with video cameras always around. Our world has been now involved into knowing everything about celebrities. Unfortunately we all want to be nosy into peoples lavish lifestyles. I think that this family will always continue to be successful. Kris is a great manager for them and seems to really push them to do what they need to do. I'm sure that these girls have people designing there stuff and they are okaying it do be put on the shelf. They have a team of people that do what they need. Of course with having this help its easier to be successful.
