An important aspect for businesses to have today is the ability to change. This world is constantly changing around us with the newest technology and latest trends. If you a business isn't willing to adapt, it has a very slim chance of making it. Some business owners are too stubborn to change, and end up going out of business. If it's not working today, chances are it's not going to work tomorrow.

You should be aware that not all business ideas will take off at first. It takes time to build clientele and it is always very important to incorporate what the customers want. If you do not listen to what your customers want then you will never grow and have a very successful business. Now you may not be able to incorporate everything your customers want however you should try your best to.

This video demonstrates how customers should always be your bottom line, not money or personal gain. This is because money (profit) is generated by customers buying product or service. Therefore, any type of gain follows and is reliant on the customer. The speaker does a good job of exemplifying this principle by talking about when she first opened her business. The lotion she had created was great, but it wasn't selling how she liked; people showed greater interests in facial services. She noticed the need and demand for facials, so she created a facial service in her store to service them. Lotion happens to be a complementary product for facials, so by following what customers wanted sales increased for both her lotion and facial services drastically. Businesses need to keep up with and serve their people effectively or else they will stagnate.

In order for business to continue to be successful, it needs to grow and adapt with all the changes the world throws at them. Today's world is rapidly evolving, so businesses need to stay relevant and give consumers the modern products they desire. The best way to figure out what changes need to be made is by listening to customers requests and opinions. That way, you get a first hand account of what will make a positive impact.

What was funny watching this video was when the speaker said you have to be resilient or you will never make it. While interviewing for my first job out of the undergraduate program at SLU, my future boss asked me if I was resilient and if so, to explain how. What was funny was I had no idea what the word resilient meant! I soon realized why he asked that question- things never happen as planned and you have to be able to bounce back from problems and adapt to new solutions.

I really enjoyed this video. This is a good example of a manager that LISTENS! She was not doing well with just the lotions and creams; customers wanted facials. Once she gave customers what they wanted her business boomed. This goes to show, that you don't always have to be right going in, but those who listen and are committed to change win in the end.

Being nimble and open to change is important in business in addition to resilience. This video showed being responsive to customers saved her business. While she opened to sell her lotion, her ability to adapt to the needs of the market lead to her success. This is certainly something all managers could take note of.

This message is great. A lot of people fail to realize that what they set out to do in the beginning isn't always going to work out and isn't always what the customer wants. So change it. If more businesses started to really develop this mentality then a lot would more would become successful.

How inspiring. I'm so afraid of failing in the business world that I've never really considered the idea of "adapting". It's so easy to just listen to the customers. They are the idea makers. They are the reason for the business, the reason for everything. It's so important to know how to adapt to your customers' needs. Older business have had to learn how to adapt to the new technologies and social trends otherwise their businesses would probably fail. I know my current job would. We've been around 27 years. In the past few years we've added a website and a Facebook and I truly believe Facebook is the reason we're still here. I'm working on trying to figure out how else to make a family ran pizza place into something that stands out from the rest of the pizza places in the area. Maybe that's what I need to do. Talk to the customers. Figure out what THEY want. I feel a survey coming on!

i loved this video, you can see the womans passion in the product and business she made. This goes well with the last video about making making a idea into something real and believing in the product you make. I said in the last video that if you want or need a product that would be better then whats out there then other people probably do too. This lady made her products because the ones she personally used before werent the best ingredients and didnt work well with her skin so she decided to make a better product that she could use. She also said that it is important to listen to what your customers want and i cant agree more because that is how your business will be sucessful in the long run and set it aside from other comapanies.

I think this topic is something a lot of business owners struggle with. They are afraid to veer away from their product to something that can make their business more profitable. In business, you have to give your customers what they want. Especially if you are in a not so popular type of business. I really like this video because the founder of the product was not afraid to take chances and go completely in a different direction with her product. Sometimes taking a chance makes the risk worth it.

I believe that staying on your toes is the most important thing to thing about when growing your business. Creating a Learning organization will allow your employees to be ready to adapt to the changes in the market. This includes experimenting, networking, communicating, and recording.

Listening to the clients is one of the best ways to grow a business. Adapt to the needs of those you serve. Helping others is the business I'm in and if I didn't listen to what the problem was, I couldn't offer a solution. I love my customers because they keep me going and thriving.

It's vital to hear through your customers' ears and see through their eyes. It's important to recognize their wants and desires. If you can recognize what they want and give it to them, they will respond to that. Your business isn't about you it's about your customers.

This video is definitely a testamony to how businesses and managers should listen to their customers and try to meet their needs, especially when the products or services you offer are not selling as rapidly as you'd like. This is also a great way to expound on some great idea that you may have just as a regular person. When you notice you have a nack for something, such as cooking, baking, doing hair, or polishing nails take that and run with it. Be ambitious.
