Apple is very innovative in the way they do things. They have gotten a lot of bad talk because people claim that they steal their ideas from others, but they take those ideas and are able to give people what they want. They let other companies do the dirty work, and then take the ideas and run. They alter the ideas that the other companies have already come up with. This is a good strategy in the business world.

This video was not very interesting. I really cant say i was able to take anything away from it, I believe it is common knowledge that to be innovative you don't have to be first sometimes it is just about being better. Also apple has been around for years only in the most recent years have they been notably recognized so it is very evident that innovation does not have to be something your company starts with over time you may be able to catch a career changing break. I guess the video would be good for people who are not attentive to the world of business and the company background.

I found this video very interesting as I did not know this information regarding Apple. I had always thought they were the first ones to innovate the technology they introduced into the market as their own. They just happened to be the ones whom capitalized on others ideas, and us as the consumers were none the wiser to know the difference.

I really enjoyed this video because I think it is interesting how it all played out with Apple. She said that it is all about perception and I agree. But I believe It is also all about timing. Like she said the market was ready for the iphone at the time it came out. I think the market needed to get the blackberries with email before they would really believe they would need something like the iphone. Not only did apple perfect the ideas of others but they released that the right time

Apple is a weird company but it knows how to get people attention. It know when to come in when to stay out, and experiment before it is done. this company is a giant among names and will probably be that way for a while. I don't even like apple but i give it its dues.

This video basically goes to show that with being patient, good things can come from it. In my opinion, Apples approach was very good and did it in a very good way. They saw how products worked with customers and how they could do better and improve by looking at other peoples success or failure.

First of all, I think the opening statement was the dumbest thing I had heard of out of any of these links so far. How can Apple be such an innovator if they take other peoples idea and just make it their own?! An MP3 player came out 3 years prior to the “invention” of the iPod, so why is Apple given such great innovation recognition in the MP3 market? They claim that iPod was so successful because of its advertising while the competition was battling digital music lawsuits. What boggles my mind is that if weren’t for the “competition” battling the digital music lawsuits, then Apple would have to take on the same lawsuits. Luckily for Apple, the other companies got stuck handling the dirty work and advertisement worked out for them.

apple is a prime example of throwing the brick and hiding there hands. Apple has let other companies do there dirty deeds with reaping the benefits. Apple is one the highest selling product in America but most of there business is through foreign outsourcing and working people in sweatshops overseas while reaping the benefits of huge profits.

This video was very interesting to me. I had no idea that Apple did not develop the technology that is behind their products. I would not agree with the video in stating that Apple is such an innovative company, rather, an extremely smart company. Apple lets others do the hard work in developing the technology through research and development, then they create their products using other's technology. This doesn't seem right or ethical, but I believe it is smart in that you save your initial expenses. Steve Jobs and Apple use their smarts and stay one step ahead of the game by using good timing.

I really like Apple products especially my Mac it is much easier to operate than the new Windows or maybe I am just used to the Mac. Whatever the reason, I like Apple! This video surprised me that they get their ideas from other products then create a product that surpasses the competitors. Even though I like Apple I hate that they so quickly upgrade the phones. There is no need to produce a bigger, better phone each year. My first phone was a true old school car phone and a pager and seeing those products stick around for years and now each year there is a new version of the iPhone. It is crazy to me that technology is changing so fast. They are not leaving room for advancement for the future. Ha I guess I just don't adapt well to change. I like routine.

I liked this video a lot. It brings to light a lot of things that people often do not think about when they think of Apple. Many credit Steve Jobs with being so innovative and creative with their products, but, as the video shows, that's not completely true. One thing Apple does have down is timing. After the death of Jobs, many people learned of a different side to the Apple figurehead. Jobs was basically just a successful and effective leader, not a creative genius. The examples given in the video saved Apple a lot of time and money by reverse-engineering others' inventions and just buying an already successful company.

I am a fan of apple. Although, they seem to take others ideas or strategies and make them better. They do not always create the product or idea from ground up.
