INSTANT MBA: Conversations Can Pull Your Business Out Of A Rut
Engaging in conversations can be a convenient way of gaining new knowledge or ideas. These conversations can be amongst your classmates, co-workers, friends and even strangers. Being curious and willing to have an open-mind can be very helpful. One can only gain so much insight from social media or data, but putting together diverse minds is even better. Overall, conversing with other people on any business-matter, can help bring about new ideas and strike up our creativity and express our thoughts.

INSTANT MBA: Conversations Can Pull Your Business Out Of A Rut
I agree with most of the article and I always find myself stressing that people have become over dependent on social media to the point that it is inhibiting personal relationships outside of the internet. I also feel that the author is wrong about the fact that you cannot have deep thought provoking conversations with people online. I believe that to be truly successful you need to be able to converse both ways to maximize your pool of new ideas. There is no one correct way to communicate with people or research information or ideas but as soon as you start limiting your approach to problem solving you drastically reduce your potential to move forward.

I truly agree with her when she says, "in a world where knowledge is at the fingertips of anyone who has access to the Internet, and other people." I agree with her because knowledge can be spread easily in the world we're living in now. If you have any conversation with somebody, you will gain some kind of knowledge and than come up with any kind of idea, and finding inspiration. In my opinion, this can be a good thing or bad. But overall, nice article.

Conversations Can Pull Your Business Out Of A Rut
What I got out of this article is word of mouth. I feel that technique is still the number one way to market one's company and self. Not only that, but as they mentioned, it is also the best way to get information if you just look for it. I agree with that completely because if you get information via internet, you don't know how reliable it is. Whereas if you get information from someone you know, or through a mutual friend, it is much more reliable and more so less expensive.

INSTANT MBA: Conversations Can Pull Your Business Out Of A Rut
In order for a business to be able to keep coming up with ideas employees have to communicate and have conversations. When no one is talking or coming up with new ideas then the business is not going no where in the long run. When people talk they come up with ideas that one might not be able to come up with on their own. This link can teach one to be curious and always try to learn new things in order for your business to grow. A business leader can know a lot of things but will not know everything and will have to have conversations in order to figure out things.

Conversing face to face with someone, rather than online or telephone can be a better approach to getting things done and also can provide better information. Obtaining information from the internet is easy. It's not as difficult as it is to have a personal conversation with someone. Having a conversation with someone shows effort on your part. I also think it makes it easier to get things done and prevents from causing confusion.

If you think technology will replace the need for human interaction then you are wrong and that is what this article is clarifying. As manager we can read, see the pictures and hear about the people online but until you meet and interact with the individual then you are not getting the real picture of the person. Human interaction cannot be replace, there are somethings which can not be see online which are very important in individual.I like the article and wish that managers can read and understand this and know that people are different and the need to give people/employees a chance to express themselves.

Even though we have the power of google on our hands, that is just part of the knowledge. Sometimes you will not know what your company will need and searching on the internet will not help because you do not know what you are searching for. It is important to socialize and network to get more knowledge, ideas and also feedback. A lot of times great ideas that will help your company will come from thoughtful conversations with other people.

Getting ideas from others is always helpful and most of the time free of cost. Brainstorming can be another great way of coming up with ideas. I like how the article wants you to get involved with people in conservation and not social media. Being involved with others in your field and outside your field can also help your company think of new ideas.

INSTANT MBA: Conversations Can Pull Your Business Out Of A Rut
Thoughtful, face-to-face conversations are slowly becoming second to the internet, specifically social media, in finding ideas and acquiring knowledge. Everyone around us has something they are great at. They have experiences and knowledge that we may never know about or be able to share in unless we engage them in curious, thoughtful conversation. Being able to do this living in a world where many people's days are spent staring at a computer/tablet/screen is a valuable trait to have that will allow you to be competitive.

This article makes a good point; research is not the only way to obtain knowledge. We don't even realize that we are coming up with new creative ideas when we are having conversations. Sometimes when we have just simple, business-related conversations with people, we are actually finding our inspirations for our business. Research and social media are not the only keys to succeeding, it's through thoughtful conversations that help us out. Instead of hiring someone to help your business, you should first try to find solutions using word-of-mouth. Other people are a huge source of knowledge these days.

Richard makes a good point by bringing us back to the basics, word of mouth. There is so much data on the internet but it does not interact with us. Interacting with people allows us to share insight that we may not even have expected to come from the other person. Richard is right when he said,"for anyone to succeed they must go beyond knowledge and be curious." Life is a constant learning lesson and once we think we are knowledgeable we are ignorant. No one ever "arrives" reaching that level.

INSTANT MBA: Conversations Can Pull Your Business Out Of A Rut
Although people have a wealth of knowledge available to them via the internet, many forget that another vital source of both information an inspiration is simply other people. A person can hold all the information to come up with many ideas but they will never hold the exact same information as another person. Without the same information, any one individual is missing out on other potential ideas. By conversing with others, we can gain new ideas and can even be motivated by the ideas and/or knowledge of others. The best way to being successful is being able to put minds together. By discussing any issues in the past, I was able to come up with much better solutions than my originals by discussing with others what they would do first. Looking forward, I will always look as conversations between myself and others as much as a knowledge gaining method as I would reading a business article.

In the business world, you have to be able to adapt. If you keep doing the same things over and over again, these things may start not working and your business could fail because of it. As a business owner, you need fresh ideas to keep the business going. I think that the best way to do this is by getting people together and brainstorming. Brainstorming is not a new idea, but it still works the majority of the time. A group of people in a room discussing ideas is a great way to come up with new and innovative solutions to some of the problems that your business may have.

"Conversations can pull you business out of a rut"
I have been working on my major for 5 years now. I can read, research, and study all I want, but it's through human interaction that I have truly learned what I need to do in order to prepare myself for graduation and the real world of accounting. I've talked with my professors, as well as friends that are CPA's. Each one has given me different advice on areas to pursue and advice on how to start the application process. Technology today has connected more people with the internet, but has also disconnected people socially. Human interaction is key to running any business, and I mean physical interaction, not hiding behind a computer screen.
