This article talks about the need for social communication between colleagues. This allows for others to come together and collaborate and share ideas and business related information. With the increase in technology and communication such as email, etc, there has been less communication among employees. It is important for leaders of companies to have their employees gather at least on a weekly basis to get together and communicate socially about issues, concerns, and ideas related to the company. This allows for collaboration as well as growth in the company.

Instant MBA: Conversations Can Pull Your Business Out of A Rut
I could not agree more with this article. I think that it is very important to not only look on the internet and books for ideas and help with businesses and anything in general, but talk to others. The internet cannot carry a conversation on about the pros and cons of something, or cannot respond when you want to throw around ideas. Having conversations with others is a way to bounce ideas off each other and build on each others creativity. If you just stick to books and the internet, you can miss a great opportunity or idea!

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great It’s always good to have conversations with people that have been down the road that you are headed and that has some helpful things to share. While listening to them may not always work, it’s still good to talk with them because you never know what words he or she will say that may inspire you or give you an idea. There are always people that want to talk to you about what they have been through and probably wouldn’t mind meeting with you to talk when they get the chance.

INSTANT MBA: Conversations Can Pull Your Business Out Of A Rut
In my opinion, conversation with others is one of the most important aspects of having a business. Not only does it get your ideas out there for yourself and others, but it allows others to give advice. You have to decide what advice you choose to take, but it's always good to have several ideas to choose from. Also conversation keeps it real, and when a business owner has a question about something, he can ask someone who has personal experience rather than relying on the text book answer that can be read online.

In a time where technology dictates so much of what we do and the process of obtaining information, it is important to remember the basic form of communications – “word-of-mouth” conversations. The author made a tremendous point. We often forget about simple conversations with other and what this form of communication does to the thought process. Personally I know there have been time when I was able to solve my own problems simply through discussions with other.

Asking questions is the best way to create innovation. Casual conversations are normally when problems are resolved and communication channels opened. When you finally realize that casual conversation is not pointless, you can help your business out more than you could ever realize.

I think that in today's world, technology really has lessened the human connection we have with one another. I will admit I have this fault. When I need direction, advice, or answers, I look to the internet. I will google and do research on the subject, instead if just simply asking someone. Because of the ease of technology, I feel like a lot of people do this and we are all missing out on a rich source of information. There is plenty to learn from the experience and advice of others that the internet doesn't have to offer. Another valid point the article makes is that conversations inspire. You may find the same information on the internet that you get in a conversation with someone, but it's the actual talking-the connection- with someone who you admire, someone who has been through what your trying to do, that inspires.

I love this article as it brings it back old school. Communication by conversations can build imagination and create vision. I always make it a point to reach out to co workers to have conversations on goals or improvements. I like to have a vision to see how I think it would turn out.

Alt link 18: INSTANT MBA: Tackle The Problems That Need Solving Right Now
Jill's situation is an example of practice what you preach. She started looking online for reliable doctors, and soon realized sites like yelp.com were of little use. She got her medical situation taken care of first, then once she was well, she set out on fixing the problem of finding medical professionals online.

INSTANT MBA: Conversations Can Pull Your Business Out Of A Rut
If a business is faced with an issue, instead of trying to look up solutions online or hiring somebody to solve a problem, all you need to do is have a conversation with other people. Sometimes conversations can be the best thing for any business. In today's society we always try to take the fastest way out of things. We resort to relying on the Internet, buying our way out of things, or putting our problems on other people. Sometimes all we need to do to solve our problems within a business is talk about it. When you talk things out you can sometimes solve the problem.

INSTANT MBA: Conversations Can Pull Your Business Out Of A Rut
A big problem in todays world is the huge infrastructure of technology available to anyone at anytime. How is that a problem, one might ask? Well in the business world it can hurt as much as it can help. Information has made us lazy, and it has made us impatient. Need Informtaion? Whip out that little computer in your pocket and type it in google. But all google can give you is facts, or opinions written by people who think they know more than you. What is really needed, especially in business, is ideas. Ideas come from people, not from paragraphs on the internet. There is nothing more important in business today than to remember that brainstorming is not an outdated word that our parents used back in the day, but actually a vital and integral part of the business sector.

Having conversations and opening up your mind while listening to others can very innovative. Just natural flowing conversation and not hustling people with advice is also much more beneficial. Though needing advice is not a problem, the aspect of actually talking, listening, and broadening your brain can make a significant difference in the way you think in the future. Get into people's minds to see what they are thinking. Like its mentioned in the article, people underestimate the knowledge and possibilities of other people.

I agree that for someone to be successful it goes beyond "knowing things", however coming up with business ideas from loose conversation is a little bit of a stretch. But then again I do not own a business, so many I need to start paying more attention in conversations...

Teachers and professors are always telling us that knowledge is power. I agree with this article that the internet allows us to have access to information at anytime we want. One thing I have realized is that businesses have a better chance of surviving when you have friends in the industry. Conversations create friendships and friends within the industry have at some time or another been in the same situation you may be facing.
