I personally feel that leaders are made rather than born. The experiences that mold a person into a great leader are gained throughout life and aren't inherent.

I agree with this fact. Leaders are made. They become leaders because of events that take place in their life and how they react to those events. I, for example, hope to be a leader in my business one day. I decided to that I was going to be a leader at a young age and since then have done everything to make sure that I would be good at it. But, the reasons on why I choose to become a leader was because of events that took place in my life. So, I was not born a tall, white, old guy nor was I born a leader. Nobody is making me or appointing me a leader, but I am making myself into one.

A leader is defined as the person who leads or commands a group, organization, or country. In my opinion a person is molded into a leader not born. Many people stereotype women as not being leaders which is totally basis. I had a supervisor who thought he could talk down to women. He was so frustrated when he was replaced by women.

I think it is a great idea to surround your self with successful people. I learn new things everyday and welcome advice as you can never have too much knowledge. Therefore any added knowledge you could gain, from the successful people around you, can only be beneficial. These successful people you surround yourself with have not always been such. They have made mistakes in business and could give you good insight on what not to do and some of the things that have worked for them and helped form them into the successful business person they are. Some people with out a doubt are natural leaders, their personality traits exhibit leadership characteristics, however I do believe just like anything else, anything can be learned if you really feel passionate about it. They have so many different kinds of classes and seminars on leadership that one could always be improving your leadership skills, whether you are a natural born leader who wants to be the best he can be or someone who has no idea what it takes to be a leader but has aspirations of being a leader.

I believe leaders can be made. Most qualities are by being learned. Some people may be born with the ability to lead but most traits to be a great leader are by learning. The saying "you are who you hang out with" is very true.

There are many different types of leaders, some born thru experience, some natural born and some for the heat of the moment or people force into leadership. Those choices or the way people have live is going to reflect there leadership qualities or not, But most importantly, it is just a title to be held by someone qualify or not.

I really agreed with this video because it takes a lot to be a leader and they can definitely be born or made. Some people are born with personality qualities that would make them a good leader but their actions and decision through life are what makes them a leader. I like how he talked about who you surround yourself with because my parents have always stressed that for me and it is true. If you surround yourself with good, successful people chances are you are going to strive to become a successful person. Leadership is all about your actions, decisions, and how you handle situations and anyone can become a good leader with the right role model and motivation.

Both, leaders are born when they get made. But in the same argument leaders are made then are required to be made. If a group of people are in need of a leader and they have no born ones within their ranks one will often emerge. Whether they are good at it or not only time will tell.

I dont believe that people are born in any way. They are made to become who they are. How they are raised and what they do with their own lives. I feel that even though someone is raised with the right morals and values, people make themselves. We all have our own minds and choose who we want to be. So in my opinion leaders are made.

In my opinion, nature makes up a lot of who a person is. I think a person is born with certain qualities that cannot be made, such as being an extrovert or an introvert. Certain qualities can be honed or sharpened, but the qualities were there to begin with. It goes back to the nature versus nurture argument and the studies that have been done on that subject.
