Not that I believe in keeping work environment segregated, I in fact believe in diversity on all fronts. In keeping a diverse environment you will be more literally to learn and adapt to the world around you. Because that's what the world is, diverse. Learning from it can give the edge needed to conquer it. However all of the said. I don't believe woman are smarter than men, or men are smarter. They may excel in different areas but as a whole it is to difficult to tell. I also don't put any faith in data that only shows a 5 or 10 percent increase. Five to ten percent isn't enough of a change to make proper decision with. I feel that there are still to many variable present.

This video was quite interesting and I feel that woman can be just as powerful as men in the workplace. It depends on the person, man or woman, and how motivated they are in their career to become successful and “be a better leader”. I don't feel that being male or female has any particular meaning to who can be the better leader.

Well, I obviously loved this video. I am not saying I totally agree with saying that woman make better leaders. I think both women and men bring different things to the table. In my opinion a company with both woman and men would make the best business decisions. While I agree with all the points about why women are great leaders such as, using intuition, emotion and language to better communicate and make better and smarter business and leadership decisions, I do not think that a women would be better at leadership than a man. There are several factors that go into play with that statement. Everyone is different and unique for one. Plus men have qualities that women do not like being aggressivie and more competitive for example. So to say that women make better leaders is not intelligent.

Women make better leaders I totally agree. Recently I was in a group that consisted of 5 people. I was the only female in the group and all the boys were procrastinators and clueless. I had to grab the bull by its horns and take control.

I do not agree 100% with this video. I do feel women are naturally better organizers than men are. But men and women both have better qualities at different situations. Men i feel can handle more tactical decisions making while women make better organization projects.

I do feel like as a woman we do fight stereotypes and it is a constant struggle. I believe in equality for woman in the workplace and I strive everyday to meet the expectations of myself and my work place. I find that woman do have a harder time of being accepted in the workplace but I do not think they are behind. I don't think that men are inferior nor do I think woman are. I believe leaders are born no matter what sex you are and everyone deserves a chance to shine. It is all about who steps up to the plate!

Some characteristics of a business leader include communication, self-awareness,emotional intelligence, decisiveness, initiative, fairness, enthusiasm, integrity, knowledge, and creativity and imagination. While both men and women have the ability to possess these characteristics, sometimes men and women can have varying levels of these characteristics. For example women may have a higher level of communication than men, or men may possess a higher level of decisiveness than a woman. Although every leader is unique in their own way and possess different levels of these characteristics it is important for a leader to be diversified and continually be looking for ways to improve themselves so they can be better leaders for the companies in which they work and improve the chances for success for these companies.

I enjoyed watching this video and seeing the statistics about this topic. I feel that there is still stereotyping between men and women in the work business. Although I believe that to be a good leader you need all of these good traits. Both men ad women can easily learn these traits.

Women make good subleaders in a company, it is a fact that in life women speak 3.5 times as many words then man. The work place is a place that brings emotion to it and no one knows emotion more then women, they are nutruring, caring, motherly, and always in there feeling, but is this a good thing. A business is like a young boy its easly broken at first but after a will it is hard to control once it gains force. At that points can a women really control it knowing that it will merge or take over other business and pontentilay leave a wake of companies for destruction in its process.

It's not surprising to me that most big companies with men as their leaders. I feel that women have always had the underhand in the business world until somewhat recently and I don't really agree with that. I don't think that gender should be an issue in the workplace because that is not what is important. Whats important is who performs the role better and who can make a business more successful. Women can provide many aspects in the workplace that men don't have, like the emotional intelligence that the video states. Men and women bring different aspects to a business which is why stereotyping men as superior could potentially be a downfall in a companies success.

At both my current job and previous jobs I have had numerous superior managers who were female. Many were amazing communicators and had great interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, etc. I have also had numerous who were the exact opposite, lacking in many of these characteristics.Often, men will get the idea that they are "superior" in the workplace, ultimately hindering their leadership capabilities. On the flip side, women can sometimes feel as though they are under appreciated and will work extra hard at being their absolute best and can sometimes run over another employee. I think there is a fair balance that can be obtained in leadership, regardless of the gender.

I found this video very interesting. I think one reason woman make better leaders in higher positions is because they are trying to bust through the "glass ceiling" and other stereotypes. At the same time, I have had many female managers (not in the highest positions, mainly middle management) that were not very good leaders. I think one of the main issues they faced was trying to be friends with their workers while still maintaining authority. Their emotions often played a big role as there were often arguments and other drama between managers and workers.
