INSTANT MBA: Don't Take Advice From Golfers If You Want To Play Baseball
"Don't take advice From Golfers If You Want To Play Baseball" is an argument that I mostly disagree with. If a person is trying to start a business they should take advice from any person that is doing the same thing even in a different field. The industry that a person plans to enter is that person's competition, and their benchmark once operations are alive. Therefore, inspiration should come from someone who has knowledge of the of business and not necessarily industry-specific knowledge. Even the title of this article is wrong, if someone who is foreign to sports asks someone who plays sports similar to the one that they are interested in, then that person will learn more on their own rather than blindly following an example set by another person.

I can agree and disagree with this article. To get the most knowledge of the business or field you are working in you would want to talk to someone who has experience in that field. This does not mean thought that someone in another field has no information that can help you. Some fields have to handle relatively the same things so it is ok to get advice from people outside your field. When dealing with something that only obtains to your field, like the article says you should get advice from someone in that field.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Take Advice From Golfers If You Want To Play Baseball
I think the writer wanted to give advice to the reader who does not know when to apply tips to a certain goal. The specific details about how to do something will not apply to any and every situation. You must be able to distinguish which approach to take for your business and to reach your goals.

Going after opportunities takes a lot of risk but risk can lead to reward. Entrepreneurs need to calculate the risk to see if the level of risk is worth the reward. If it isn’t sometimes its better to find another opportunity.

Don't take advice from the wrong person. I want to be an accountant so I wouldn't ask a actor how to be a successful accountant. Whenever getting advice get your advice from someone whom you feel can help you. I work retail and I dress a certain way because people take my opinion to heart. I never realized how much customers depended on retail sales people to actually dress them. If you getting advice get the right advice from the right person.

INSTANT MBA : 'Don't Take Advice From Golfers If You Want To Play Baseball'
In this article, CEO Jeff Hoffman explains that in order to receive the best advice, make sure you ask
someone who understands the subject matter. Asking an accountant about a job in marketing is not very us
useful. They may know a little about the subject, but they can’t give you specific detailed advice to make
decisions. Taking advice from those that do not understand the subject matter will lead you in the wrong
direction.
