INSTANT MBA: Put Yourself In Uncomfortable Situations If You Want To Succeed
Success is not easy. You do not get anywhere in life if you are willing to take chances and put yourself in uncomfortable situations. My dad was working for a guy for years. The problem was that my dad was doing all of the work, installing carpet for a major apartment complex. The guy he worked for was never around. For ten years, my dad worked under this person and never wanted to get in an uncomfortable situation. This was the reason that he was struggling financially. One day, he created a proposal. He made an appointment and talked to the top executive of the company. He ensured that he would be able to provide the same work that he has been, only at a cheaper price because he was going into business for himself. The executive knew that my dad was the face of the carpet intaller team and gave him the job. My dad is now significantly better off and he is doing nothing different as far as his job goes. The article is correct. Sometimes we need to be able to step up and put ourselves in comfortable situations in order to succeed.

I think it essential to keep in mind the original ideas of where you want your business headed. Thinking about why you initially started you company may spark a fire that will increase your current passion and increase the drive you have to move forward. As stated in the article, while it is important to keep these thoughts on your mind; it is also important to stay focused on the current state of your business in order to make sure business is conducted accordingly. You must find a nice balance between keeping the original passion of your idea steady with the current standing of your business.

Being in an uncomfortable situation is where growth is formed. You can learn a lot of things about your company and even yourself in difficult and uncomfortable times. When you aren't comfortable, you are able to take opportunities you wouldn't once take.

It's hard to actually want to be uncomfortable and sometimes it can be fearful. Learning how to deal with these fear and then overcoming them is a great thing. You have to always want to progress and change no matter what this situation is. If you think you are the best and can never progress or get better than you have a problem and you will most likely fail in some way. Learn from your mistakes and never fear mistakes embrace them and learn from them.

INSTANT MBA: Maintain Your Original 'Fire,' But Have A Plan Moving Forward
I'm posting on the ALTERNATE link of the day for day 99 because when I looked at the original link of the day, it was the same article as day 98. In this link, the author makes a lot of sense. It's always good, even in life in general, to remember the WHY when struggling with things. Remember the original reason why you started doing what you're doing----the original passion and desire to make a difference in some way, shape, or form. By doing so, you are usually successful in feeling that original joy and passion, even if for a brief moment, and that may be all you need to get you back up in the saddle and on the road to great success once again.

I agree, to be successful you have to be willing to handle the situations that people don't want to be involved in or handle themselves. It isn't important that you like the situation or want to be involved in it, but having the ability to get involved and make a decision makes you a stronger person. Many managers don't like to terminate employees and are afraid to get involved out of fear of making a mistake in how it is handled. I personally feel that if you treat people with respect and try to handle uncomfortable situations with respect you can be successful in resolving the issue.

As we continue talking about the decision making process this article informs us of fear about making decisions. When you fear decisions you hesitate and greatness or solutions can pass you by. Dont let fear rule your process, Use your experience and skills to develop a plan and make your decision. Working with the results of your decision leads to a learning experience and makes you stronger and more prepared for the next big decision.

Instant MBA: Maintain Your Original 'Fire', but Have A Plan Moving Foward
Running a company for long periods of time can get tiresome and you start to forget why you started in the first place. That is why I agree with this link about looking to the past to get that fire back. You must not get caught in the past because things may have changed. The environment of the business has changed and you must be ready. You have to look at what inspired you so you can continue to do better in the future.
