INSTANT MBA: Make Everyday A Clean Slate
This is my favorite article! In your business, personal life, love life, whatever it may be, I think the 24 hour rule should apply. When you focus too much on the past and what happened yesterday, whether it be a failure or a success, you miss the opportunity to do something else amazing. It is good to never forget about your past and the failures because that is how you can build your business to be even better, however do not dwell on these things. 24 hours is the perfect time to sulk in a failure or celebrate a success, either way, after 24 hours, move on.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
I agree with the article and believe it is important to treat every day as a new day. This is true in life as well as in business. Sometimes I go into work and have a terrible shift where everything goes wrong. But, the next day I have to go in and put that behind me and start with a clean slate. That next shift could turn out to be really great, but it wouldn't have were I still dwelling on the disasters from the day before.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
Sometimes business have bad days and sometimes they have good days. It is important to forget what happened yesterday and start each day with a positive attitude. You should never stop trying is things are going bad. When they go bad you should just try harder. Just because things are going good do not get caught up in the success and forget what is needed everyday. Your company should handle the work day by day.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
Failures are nothing more than learning opportunities. If you let a failure affect your behavior the next day your are hindering your chances of success. Instead you should focus on why you failed and how to do it better again the next time. Start the next day with a clean slate, ready to try again.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
I believe this article touches on an important issue that many businesses let overtake them. It is necessary not to let losses get you down. In the case of a mistake, failure, or loss of client; it is very valuable to take the idea of there being "plenty of fish in the sea." Take the loss, learn from it, and keep pushing.

This reminds me of “Who took my cheese?”. Anyway, I think as a manager/owner you should take each day one at a time. Just because something might have worked yesterday doen’t mean it will work today. At the same time just because you might have failed at something today, doesn’t necessarily mean that you will fail tomorrow. This was a nice artice and I agree, treat every day like it’s a new day.

The 24 hour rule is such a good idea of how log to celebrate a success or sulk about a failure. People tend to get stuck once a giant failure happens and are not able to move forward in fear they will fail again. Then people also stay high on their success they had years ago. Both of these defeats creativity and drive to do bigger and better things.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
People who beat themselves up over bad deals everyday need to sit down and see that the day is almost over. Make the best of the day that is about to start. If a mistake is made yesterday, learn from it and use the knowledge to not make the same mistake today or tomorrow. The same could be said for a huge success. The tide may not always be in your favor, so savor the moment, but go back to work and create another huge success.

I agree with article look at the long term goal but doing it one at time. Yesterday is gone tomorrow isn't here focus on today. You should constantly look forward to what's coming next, whether today was a failure or success. You only get 24 hours max to celebrate a win or sulk about a loss as much as you can. Great advice to keep an even keel.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
I'm a big fan of starting each day as a clean slate. I make it a point at work to finish up and leave that day as over and done. The next day I start new, even with my tasks. I'm all about picking up and moving forward.

This seems a little ridiculous actually celebrating or sulking for 24 hours. I don’t understand how after something goes wrong that you should mop about it for a day. I understand thinking about your next move and not acting hastily to avoid just making further mistakes. But all of life is not football where you have to wait a time period till your next game. After a failure you should sometimes be running interference, and excuse the football analogy, if possible from preventing the situation from getting any worse.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
Don't dwell on the past, whether it is a failure or a success. If it is a failure, learn from it and come back stronger than before. If it is a success, celebrate it for a short period of time, but don't get lazy. The article gives the advice of the 24-hour rule. That is, you only have 24 hours to either celebrate a victory, or dwell on a failure. After those 24 hours, you must move on and keep working.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate "Learn from the past, but don’t live there. Build on what you know so that you don’t repeat mistakes. Resolve to learn something new every day. Because every 24 hours, you have the opportunity to have the best day of your company’s life." I enjoyed reading this article and the advice offered. The points made are points to remember and carry forward not only in business but in life as well. All too often we see people dwell on achievements as well as failures. Past achievements and failures do not define the person, it is how they handle it and move forward in life. You can’t “throw in the towel” over one failure, just as the fact that one achievement doesn’t put you on top for the rest of your life or say what you are capable of tomorrow.
