INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
This advice offers encouragement words for those who have difficulty to move on after failures. As human beings, we are subject to make mistakes, and it is imperative that we learn from them and take on the next challenge. We live in a world where there is a huge amount of information available to make decisions, and this can be overwhelming; thus, we can make the wrong choices even after putting our best effort. However, we should never quit trying. Companies should rely on employees who are not afraid to make mistakes because usually innovation comes after several failures, and innovation translates into success.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate I agree with this article. People must realize that every day is different and just because yesterday was a bad day does not mean today or tomorrow will be the same. People who dwell too much on the past will most likely never make it in the business world because its full of opportunities but if you're stuck on what happened in the past then you will miss them. The best thing to do is to learn from your mistakes, figure out why it happened and how you can avoid it from happening in the future. Failure is nothing to be ashamed of because everyone fails at something but the shame comes in to play when that person continues to make the same mistakes instead of learning from them.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
I agree with this article 100%. Whether you succeed or fail a certain business venture you should never hold on to it for too long because you may miss out on your next opportunity. It is very important to learn from our mistakes and success so that we can continually improve in the future. There is no sense in holding on to the past when there may be new opportunities waiting for us. Today may have been a bad day but tomorrow could be the big day we were hoping for. If we are too busy holding on to the failures of yesterday today will pass us by along with all the great things we could have done. Just as we should learn from our mistakes and move on, we should also learn from our success and look forward to the next day.

Instant MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate As human beings, we have to understand that it is okay to make mistakes. Failure will happen eventually but the show must go on. Pondering about how you could have done something differently for a different outcome will do nothing but keep you down. I know that it is hard to accept failure, but you will get a chance to redeem yourself sooner than later. Start the next day off prepared and focused rather than worried and nervous. This article offer great advice to those (both business and non-business) that are having a tough time accepting their failures.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
Learning from past mistakes and not dwelling on them is a major problem with most employees. You must find out how to fix the problem and how to let go once you have done all that you can do. If it is problem with a customer, make sure that someone followed up to make it better, but you cannot do anything if you do not have a new view on the day that you can make every new encounter better.

Waking up with a fresh agenda on your mind can be a huge help in organizing and completing tasks in a timely manor. This also key in staying ahead of the game. Being ahead of the game gives you an advantage. This can be achieved by just waking up at a good pace and having a clean slate to put a load of work onto, and then complete it.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
This article offers great advice. I think it is very important to learn from your experiences, but if you get hung up in your failures or short comings you will find yourself staying negative. I recently had a co-worker offer me similar advice when I was facing a situation that had not gone as well as planned. I realized that I had to learn from this and move on, but it was much easier to do after talking through it with others.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
This is probably my favorite article all semester. No matter what happens in your life, you can't dwell on the past. Playing baseball growing up, all I heard all the time was "you got to have a short memory". Meaning that even if you strike out or make an error you have to go back up there again, and if your thinking about the play before, then you aren't focusing 100% on that play or at bat. The same goes for in the business world, you have to have a short memory, whether it's making a big deal or losing a big deal. You can't dwell on making a bad decision but you also can't rest when you make a good decision. Anything can happen in a day, make the best of it.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
It's true that if you constantly dwell on the past that it will haunt you forever and cause your business to fail. Look back on your mistakes just long enough to learn from them and move on. The same is true about success. Don't let success get to your head; if your company makes a big sale or closes a big deal with someone then you should enjoy it but don't get to the point where you think you can do anything you want. Stay humble and continue to act professionally and the same success will keep coming to you.

I think that the 24 hour rule is a brilliant idea. I think that sometimes people harp on a big win or a big lose. This rules allow you to be excited or upset/mad but only for one day. It is important to remember what you did right and learn from your mistakes. But you also need to remember that everyday is a new day and you need to stay focused on what is next in your business and what lies ahead.

Alt link 97: INSTANT MBA: Leaders, Your Opinions Aren't The Only Ones That Matter
Just because you may be the leader does not always mean you have to have all the answers. Even the greatest leaders of history had advisors who were subordinate to them and gave advise on matters much like someone senior to them would. Often when you get advise from an employee, and take it then that employee will work harder to turn that idea into a reality because they have a connection to the decision.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders, Your Opinions Aren't The Only Ones That Matter
It is important as a leader you understand your employees are a great source for information and opinions. It allows more options to be brought forward and gives the employees the feeling that their thoughts matter. It provides the company with image that supports teamwork.

INSTANT MBA: Make Every Day A Clean Slate
I agree with the article in that you want to still focus on the big picture while keeping your daily agendas a priority. It would be way too overwhelming to try and do several tasks that are still lingering every day. This is the same if an associate had an argument with a manager and wanted to hold a grudge, you would just have a new day.
