Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger After reading the article I perfectly understood what the message was. ‘If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger’ doesn’t mean that the work load is going to double, it means that as the company grows, its employees grow as well. Working for a company it not just about “working,” it’s also about uniting with the company, and understanding that the job consist of more than what is presented. By doing so, positive feedback and profits will be the outcome. Aside those, the employees will be granted opportunities to move up to higher positions within the company and grant new employees the chance to move into the company, and repeat the process all over again.

Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger
I found this article very interesting and agree with the content. As we grow in our jobs we should continue to be challenged to stretch to that next level. If that challenge does not exist, then the individual worker will be missing opportunities for growth and most likely the company will be missing opportunity as well. We should continue to grow with our company as we progress. This growth will be beneficial to both the employer as well as the employee.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
This article gives its readers a true definition of what progress means in a work environment. The average person does not want to do the same job forever. We should want to learn new things and assume new challenges because it will pay off during our career; we will be happy and motivated to continue working for the company. On the other hand, managers should constantly give its employees new opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills. Moreover, employees should always be willing to take on new tasks that would help them grow up personally and professionally. This management approach would certainly foster innovation and creativity, and thus, companies would gain competitive advantage.

In order for your business to grow and develop, your employees need to as well. As a leader, you can help them grow and develop with the company. This can be done by giving them more responsibilities and changing they way that your company does things to keep up with the latest trends. I have seen this in my own job, my boss promoted me to help as a project manner due to the increased demand for work. He helped me to grow and develop as an employee while the company was developing itself.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
This article presents an interesting case that makes sense and also makes me wonder why more companies do not do this! Create ample rewards and opportunities for your employees to move up and create their own success. This can be one of the strongest motivators for an employee in my eyes. Everyone wants to move up the corporate ladder and any type of recognition from the people who supply your paycheck is nice. It is like giving them the incentive to keep working harder to earn the next best reward. As a manager, paying attention to the small things such as this will help your company grow internally.

Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger
In order to have a positive work environment, and get the best results from your employees, I think that it is important to constantly challenge them, and give them more responsibility. I really agree with this article, because I think that if you don't challenge the people around you and give them more opportunity, they won't feel as valued with the company and their work performance will dwindle.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
This article was very interesting to me. As a company evolves, employees should be given the opportunity to evolve along with the company. I agree with Paul Raines when he says that a good way to motivate employees is to continue to push them to do better by creating new opportunities for them. If an employee sees that there are many opportunities for him/her to move up in the company they are most likely going to work harder to obtain these opportunities. As a leader of an evolving business you should give your employees new responsibilities to look forward to, even if it isn't a promotion. No one wants to do the same job forever, especially if more jobs are being created within their company. This is why I agree with internal promotions 100%. When you promote an employee this gives not only them a reason to continue to work harder, but also your other employees.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
People always want to grow. If you give them an incentive or an opportunity to grow, then you will get their best effort. If you don't give them that option, you will continue to get the same amount of effort out of them as always. At my old job, there were a few core people that had been there for a few years, and we all had a lot of experience. The problem was that there was no chance of moving up because the guys that were ahead of us weren't leaving and there was only one store so there was no other place for us to go. So the few of us stuck under the managers didn't really put a lot of effort into our job everyday and just did enough to get by. You need that incentive to keep your employees growing as well as your business.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
I really like this article and how the CEO tells the way his company is ever growing and expanding through a fast paced work environment. This goes the same about loving the brand and its entirety. Keeping in mind that you should not stray away or doubt your abilities to come out with something new. It's being passionate about what you are doing and how you want to make a difference in the company.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
I think it's important for your employees to grow as well as the company. The more successful the company is the more challenges and responsibility you should give to your employees. It makes them feel good about themselves that they're contributing so much to the company's success. That's how I always feel at least, I love getting more responsibility. It lets me know that I'm getting attention from top management with my abilities to do the job well.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
This article of the day suggests a realistic view of employees in the work place. I work for a small family owned business and I know that even as I grow myself which completing college that because it is a small business they will not be a place for me one day in the company. Someone would either have to retire or get fired and neither of those are going to happen soon. I realize after reading this article knowing this does cause me to not give them my fullest potential all of the time because there isn’t a future for me there, after I graduate. On the contrary if was at corporation that I knew I could work my way up the latter I would be busting my buns every single day with a big smile on my face.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Must Be Consistent
I agree that the best leaders are those that are consistent. Employees should be able to walk up to a manager at any time and get information when needed. They should not have to wait and see what kind of mood he or she is in. We have a coworker that is so moody, we all stay away and wait until we know if she is having a good day before we approach her. She doesn't even acknowledge us, when we tell her "good morning." So we just keep our distance until we have clearance she is a good mood. I hope that my coworkers don't think of me this way, I try and leave my personal problems at home and enjoy the workplace.

Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger
Opportunities for growth help to keep employees dedicated and constantly moving forward. Raising Canes has nearly doubled in size in the last year and this has brought on a lot of change as well as opportunities for every employee in the company. Many positions became open as well as new positions were created. This gave everyone something to work towards and I believe it led to greater success for the company overall. Many people were promoted, and those who were not still had attainable goals to work towards. Raising Canes did a good job with changing their employees to match the change the company was undergoing.
