Innovators can be everyday people coming up with really cool things or they are real smart people who stay up all night! (Hahah) Innovators always thinking and creating.

Yayyyyy Mark Zuckerburg! I love the thing he does within his company where his employees stay at work late and just work on they're new in coatings ideas that aren't work related. I think that encourages a lot of people to create the next "big thing" yet also always gives that company the competitive edge because they would always be ahead of the competition. Facebook has had tremendous success and has been the longest and most active social media sight ever. It never really died out and is actually is becoming the hot thing again. Great video

I like how Mark keeps innovation fresh in his company. It's important for people to feel like they can be expressive on and off the job, and while they don;t realize it, they're bringing the off-the-clock ideas back into project. Also, the freedom to play around with codes when they want is probably a very efficient way of trial and error. Streamlining this process seems like it would be a hinderance more than a help. As other people have stated, this probably wouldn't work for every company, as their business isn't so reliant on creativity.

Mark Zuckerburg definitely has plenty of experience with innovation. I really found it interesting how he allowed his employee's to work on other things other than strictly their job duties. Creativity flows much better from freedom rather than specific duties. Innovation is the key to staying on top, and Mark knows that. Many managers would never give their employees the freedom Mark does because they would see it as wasting time when it's really the complete opposite.

This video related to another video relating to incentives. Most people perform better with autonomy. The more freedom the employee has to be creative, the more innovative a company will be because they will have a lot of fresh, new ideas.

I think innovation can have different meanings. Innovation with facebook obviously has moved them to being the most successful company. The idea of innovation is important but I think in a company you really need to have the innovation to move the company in a forward path that will make it be successful. I like this video and I admire mark for his innovation in creating facebook. I think we can all learn from his words.

It’s important that a business, especially one that’s growing so fast, to remain organized. You need to keep everyone on track and make sure that they all have a common goal. A way to achieve this is to communicate frequently with your employees or coworkers and you can do that by holding meeting and talking with people often. Communication is key in a business.

My takeaway from this video is to change things up; don’t get complacent with your job/tasks. Innovation is going against the grain and thinking outside of the box. You have to challenge yourself and dig deep into your thoughts. I am not necessarily a fan of this idea; I am detail-oriented and like patterns, with slight change. I am not a fan of different things each and every day, although I am more than capable of adapting to change.

The idea of staying up to work in a project can be taken many ways. Some May view it as fun and exciting while others not so fascinated with the project may find it painfully unbearable. I suppose the gatherings aren't mandatory. I do think that it is a good take on brainstorming. I can imagine it's like a sleepover however consisting of ideas and thoughts being thrown out all night. It would be a great experience to be a part of especially if the gathering produce a valuable product/service.

I love Mark and I think Facebook is such an amazing company, however i'm not sure this is a framework that can work in every business. Not every company has the type of employees that are like coders and so I think if you strip away what he says and take out the bare bones what you can take away is the idea that giving your employees the room to be creative is a good thing. Knowing that their minds are valued and their thoughts are encouraged is a great thing you can do for your employees.

I believe that we all can learn through trial and error. Innovative thinking is produce by just trying more then one thing in life. I was always taught that it is not good to put all your apples into one bag. Sometimes in life the best things are created through experimentation and through trial and error by test random things to see if something creative can come from the thought.

So just have a giant brainstorming session and get paid. I wish I were smart enough to work for him. It is awesome that they are able to do this and find creative and productive projects that become profit generators for his company.

Just give the employees a opportunity to design programs that they like and that opens the window of opportunity for innovation. I think you must first be creative to start just building something you don't know

I think innovation is the best way to grow your company. By allowing your employees to try new things and experiment with different projects you are inviting growth and innovation in your company. I thought it was interesting that Facebook has events where they let their employees work on any project they want aside from work. I think that provides a good opportunity for development and generates new ideas.
