Your calendar is not only for appointments and meetings with others. It is also to schedule time for yourself. It is important to put on your calendar time for yourself to focus on a project or other tasks that need to be done. When you make time for yourself it helps with stress and accomplishing goals.

I know I could seriously take advantage of this video because I do not schedule my tasks or use a calendar at all. I totally rely on my memory and I'm sure I could be more productive if I used scheduling tools to help myself out. I should probably start by scheduling a time to catch up on scheduling. If I did this consistently I could probably make it a habit and be more productive. I like the productive procrastination idea. If I can put something off, I should do it in a very controlled way so i'm not actually procrastinating. Part of my issue, I think, is being able to do this very easily. Because it's not quick and easy I don't keep up with it. Good video

I really enjoy this video. Calendars can be the key to success. Planning out your own me time is great. I like how the speaker tells you to schedule appointments with yourself. Having your own me time is crucial and just as important as a meeting with a co worker. Having your own weekly review on a Friday afternoon is a great idea. I think the to do list should be separate from the calendar. a lot of times you can just knock things off your to do list as the free time becomes available. Overall, I agree with the speaker of this video.

I really like this idea. I know of someone who actually uses this idea for her everyday life. This is really the same principle and scheduling study time, but on a professional level. I will most likely practice this once I get into the workforce.

Scheduling is definitely a very important part of success. If you want to reach your goals, you have to know what your goals are. Some people put events or goals in their calendars months in advance while others just make a daily to-do list. I find that both are useful. When you get something done, mark it off! You will feel better for getting it done, and be encouraged to finish more tasks!

This video is so relatable! I used to have so much trouble in the past with feeling like I had too many commitments and not enough time to do the things that I had to do. I find the most effective method that has worked for me is writing down what I will get accomplished that day. I will write down the things that need to get done and after I finish them, I consider myself free for the rest of the day and allow myself to not do any more school work. If I have a commitment with others one day, I try to schedule less work for those days and also try to spread my work out evenly to prepare for lost time to myself that day. I really believe that the method she explained in the video is close to my method and from personal experience, it is definitely effective.

College students listen up! This video is perfect for you. I have a calendar and i use it. If i did not my life would not function. This video also gives good tips on using a calender efficiently which is the key not just writing down what needs to get done but sectioning off time slots for things.

I've seen about 20 videos now about TIME MANAGEMENT! That's what all of these videos are about. So, I'm kind of out of original responses for this. Setting aside time for yourself is important. What I prefer about calendars vs. planners is that I can see everything I need to get done in the same month without flipping back and forth.

This is another useful and practical video. I have a semi-habit of using my calendar but I know I can definitely do a better job. Time management has become a bigger and bigger issue the older I have gotten. I have also realized that time management is the key to making good on all of your commitments and promises.

I live by my planner. It is color coded for school, work, activities, etc. And I always have it with me. It goes from my school bag to my purse and back again. It helps me visualize everything that I need to do and when it needs to be done by. I break everything down per day and try to schedule out my time to what I can devote to when I can devote it. I think that every college student needs a planner, it is just impossible to keep track of everything you have to do. I think that having a planner and sticking to it is a great habit to develop in college and one that will carry with you into adulthood for when you have kids and need to plan out their schedules. Staying organized is a very important task if you want to be successful.

This video explained the importance of scheduling time for yourself. It is easy to put yourself last but often times you will be more productive by scheduling time to take care of yourself and then will have more to offer others help. Additionally, I took away the value to having your schedule on your person at all times. This way you can make adjustments to it and it will be updated in a timely manner.

This is such a great tip. Setting "me" time would make you feel as if you can't cancel on yourself as well. I personally don't like missing appointment so therefore if I already have it scheduled. I really enjoyed this video and plan on using these tactics in the future. It is one of those tips we forget about. We also schedule our work and meetings but forget to schedule our sanity which is our "me" time. Great video and I totally plan on sharing the concept with friends.

Very good points were made on this calendar, and I am currently doing some of them already. But I will take into consideration scheduling time for myself, that is one thing that I am currently not doing at the moment. I can definitely appreciate defensive scheduling.

These comic strips remind me of office space. The cartoon boss looks like he wants to ask about TPS reports. Scheduling everything can be disgusting but sometimes necessary. What i like to do is work during the week and play during weekend. Sometimes I have to bend these rules but most of the time it can work. By having more than a few hours off it allows me to be random and experience new things without a plan. This in turn gives me new insights on how to tackle my work week.

It is a good idea to put everything you have to do on a calendar. First schedule your own time. Give yourself a block of time every week to figure out what you have done in the past week, and find out what you have to do for the next week. You should also use your calendar as a to do list. Use it to remember phone calls or deadlines that you have. It is a good idea to always have access to your calendar. This makes it so that you can always check what is going on in your life at any given moment.
