emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical. These are our 4 energy's we must focus on to be successful. You need to always take care of your self then everything else will fall into place. The main point that I got out of this message was that we need to "work smarter not harder". If we would do that there would be less stress on us in the long run.

I loved this video. Our world is growing at such a fast pace and to be a part we are having to wear ourselves completely thin. We need to slow down a little and take time to focus on our own well being. I like how he states that we are finding ourselves in an energy crises. There's only 24 hours in a day. He then says there are 4 types of energy within ourselves: physical, emotional, mental, spirit. We are too focus on the expenditure of energy and demonize the focus on renewal of energy.

I like the science of his discussion about time versus energy. Time doesn't mean hardly anything. Just because you have time doesn't mean you'll get anything done. But it takes energy to get everything done. When writing papers, if it's a subject I don't care about it will take me weeks to write it, even though the only time I actually work on it is during the two days before it's due, but now it lacks quality. However, if it's a subject I'm interested in, I can write it in hours and turn it in the next day, proud, ready to show it off. So, I like what he had to say about energy. It's what allows us to be creative and deliver high performance. At my internship, and don't get me wrong, these people are wonderful. But I observe so often that these people waste half the day doing nothing. They stand around and talk to each other, take hour long lunch breaks, twiddle their thumbs, get on Facebook, etc. etc. They could have come in for half a day with a time crunch and get everything done as they would on a normal day.

I dont know if my capacity to satisfy the growing demand in my life will grow big enough or fast enough to keep up. I would love to somehow create more hours in a day. I also would love to just be able to plug myself in and renew my energy, espically my mental energy.

In the beginning of this video I thought I wasn't going to like it. But as he went on, I really enjoyed what the speaker was saying. I do agree that corporate Americans tend to work, work, work and don't allow their bodies to rest like athletes do. What I thought was interesting and could be used in an interview was the opposite topic he discussed. It is true that if you use a strength alone and do not embrace its opposite, or weakness, you are not human. A weakness is just as important as a strength and can also be used as one if you balance them correctly.

I think he makes some great points in this video. I agree that handling responsibilities is a very important part of life, and the amount of energy we use to accomplish these tasks is very high. If we are able to better renew our energy, we will be more able to complete these responsibilities.

I like Tony Schwartz's approach to the idea of companies rethinking about how they are working. Many times, companies burn themselves and their employees out by overloading them with work and trying to do too many things at once. Sustainability is the only way that a company is going to be able to achieve its long term goals and ultimately succeed.

Very informative video that focuses on the four energies that are important in our everyday life. I like the suggestion he gives that we should focus more on our energies that on out time. The four energies that he discusses and list as far as importance are: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. I will definitely take this video to heart, and work on these energy focuses. I enjoyed this video and would gladly share it with others.

This video points out the key values in life. Knowing the key values can help an individual on their journey. Being aware of our own personal energy and using it in a beneficial way can be helpful. Keeping yourself fresh and renewing your own energy can help you personally and in a business. When businesses get focused to much on short term goals, their long term goals start to diminish. Businesses, like individuals, need to keep fresh and constantly renew themselves to achieve their long term goals.

This video was a bit lengthy so I will just focus on what main topic. I liked the message of the video on energy. I've never thought of the idea of managing energy. I thought that the concept was intriguing. What I take from the video is to try to efficiently focus my energy on what I want best. Lastly, the most important thing I will take from this video is renewing energy is just as important as expending energy.

I thought that this video was very interesting. In order to be more successful, we must focus on four types of energy instead of time. These include emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical. Being able to focus on what we can accomplish and figuring out our weaknesses is important to be successful. I sometimes find myself stressing out because I do not feel like I have enough time to finish products. I need to begin focusing on the four types of energy in order to stress less.

Time is finite. We only have so many hours in a day and there are not enough. Have you ever had to admit that too yourself. Either we find a better more efficient way of doing things or we cant take on more. Build a better robot, reinvent the wheel. Some folks will tell you not too do these things. That procrastination is just as dangerous. But they both seem to get us too the same place.

I wasn't a fan of this video. He talked a lot about being balance between all that we do but he was not an interesting speaker. Being an athlete I enjoyed the part of his presentation about how athletes know that it is just as important to rest as it is to put in work.

I have always considered myself to have a good balance of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual energy. The problem with our society is that many people focus their energy on only one of the four aspects. Businesses or business people wear themselves out by focusing too much on mental or physical energy. They become the typical "workaholic" personality that does not achieve happiness due to the lack of emotional or physical energy. The same goes for the opposite; if someone is only practicing with emotional energy, their decisions are effected and difficult to make.

I strongly agree with this video. It isn't really that productive to work hard if the work isn't directed in the area or done in the right way. It is most important for someone to point their efforts in the right direction aka "working smarter".
