I really enjoyed this video! not only do I love Al Pacino. His speech is definitely an uplifting and motivating. No matter what goals you are trying to meet every inch every minute counts. To success if you are on a football team or in a office building with your colleagues it all counts in order to succeed. How far you are willing to go will show yourself if you get to part in your life you have dreamed to be. Working as a team is the best thing to do. If you don't work together you won't get anywhere. What a great video i am definitely posting this to my facebook page.

You must be willing to go the extra mile for what you want; if it’s important to you, you will do whatever it takes to achieve your goal. This relates back to the Tony Robbins video about hunger. If you aren’t hungry for what you are going for, then you may not achieve it, but if you are hungry you will be able to go that extra inch to get it.

The passion and emotion delivered in this speech is incredible. Seeing a coach pour that much heart into a speech can really galvanize a team and help them come together to reach a common goal.

I always wonder if football half time pep talks really go like that in real life; that's besides the point though. The speaker emphasizes that life is broken up into small inches and every single inch counts. When he spoke about inches, I immediately correlated them with decisions we make throughout our lives. Even the smallest decision, for example, organic or processed cereal is an important par of the bigger picture. People who fight for each and every little inch will be the winner.

I like this video even if it may be a cheesy motivational video. But he does touch on some really good points. In reality we all make choices and do things that ultimately close doors. But what so few people realize is that even if that door behind you closed, one or more of the thousand in front of you just opened. Life truly is a game of inches because any number of things can happen that will set you back or push you forward. The possibilities are there and if you fight every bit of the way that effort will add up. It's also a very powerful statement when he says "we either heal now as a team, or we will die as individuals." I can relate to opportunities being all around me because if I had taken an internship last summer, I wouldn't be in grad school now and have an opportunity at a greater internship today. I like this video and would probably share it with others.

Al Pacino "Inches" Speech, Any Given Sunday (1999)
Al Pacino has always been a great actor. You can see his love for acting through this movie. Simply saying the words is never enough. You must show emotion behind them. Loving what you do is a must. After listening to his speech, you can relate his speech to anything you have going on in life. It will always help you push through, but you cannot rely on anyone else to constantly push you. You must learn to push yourself and find your passion.

I'm very much enjoyed that speech. I have never seen Any Given Sunday, which I'm surprised I haven't because I love football movies, but now I'm definitely going to take the time to watch it to understand where those characters are coming from. We have to live life by the inches in front of us if we want to move forward to win a mile. What a great motivational speech.

I've never really been motivated by speeches filled with cliches but I did enjoy this one. I really think they should make a movie about this.

I absolutely love this speech. One of the best moves I have ever seen, and I don't care for football movies. Oliver Stone has a knack for motivational speeches in movies. I love how he describes the big game as an "inch" game. He says that adding up all of the inches that leads to victory, and I certainly believe this to be the case. It's not the big decisions that effect people the most, it's the little ever day decisions that help people in the long run.

His speech makes me want to go and watch the movie now. I thoroughly enjoyed this video. It makes me not want to take anything for granted and make use of every second. My latest motto is "Always Be Productive". I have found myself over the last few months and I would even say the last year letting time slip away from me. Then thinking back about how I could have been doing something beneficial with that wasted time. This video really hits home for me in the sense of how I should "claw" for every inch in life, in class, in my organizations, and in my spiritual life.

What an amazing speech! I've never seen this movie but the whole time watching the video i felt completely emotionally involved. Every word Al Pacino said resonated in my ears. At first, i started feeling depressed about what he was saying, growing older and loosing important things in your life. He quickly turned that sadness into hope, and determination to succeed instead of fail. Whether it's football, or business, working as a team is the only way to accomplish goals.

This was one of my most favorite part of this movie. This is truly a motivational speech that references everyday life situations. One of the points taken, that if you "give of the fight you give up living", and that is definitely a true statement. You have to keep striving in life no matter what the situation might be just do your best and don't ever give up without a fight.

Inches. Small efforts and actions will eventually add up and create major sucesses. Everything we want to do is right in front of us, the opportunity is right there, so all we have to do is reach for it. The margin of error is very small, so we have to keep pushing to get to it. Cool speech, very motivating.

Motivational speeches are a great way to pep people up, rather it be in a sporting game, life, or any situation. This speech emphasizes how short life really is, you will never get a day back once it is over. Live everyday to the fullest, tell everyone you love that you do love them, and have no regrets. Go out and grab life by the horns, because after all its the only one you have.

This scene always gives me goose bumps, the reality behind the words are so great yet very simple. I think life is just about that too, we each have our own battles, we are all trying to get past various experiences and pick up new challenges. This video reminds me of how my choices at present are very important in motivating me towards my next endeavor.
