I believe both men and women play a vital role in the workplace. I agree with the video in the sense that women bring better emotional communication to the table. Women tend to communicate their feelings and empathize with others in a stronger way than men. However, sometimes bringing emotions into business decisions can be negative. When it comes to a sales role in the work place, women might have an easier time reading their customers wants/needs. All of my current managers at work are men. They sometimes lack the ability to communicate with employees effectively. They might not completely understand an issue before addressing it. This can lead to employee dissatisfaction, which in return becomes customer dissatisfaction. Although women are better at communicating and using emotions, taking emotions out of decision making is important sometimes. I believe men have an easier time separating personal life from business. Men are also more capable of making the tough decisions and leaving emotion out of it.

What i took from this video is that not just one sex is good at running companies. Women and men have so many different features that help out companies that if you put them together you could have a Fortune 500 company on your hands. The stereotype will always be there and people need to see past that, women can do everything men can do why should running a company not be one of them. My boss at work is a woman and i love working for her, she puts so much energy and emotion into her job, i could not imagine working for someone else.

Larger companies generally employ men in the higher positions. However, some companies are learning the importance and benefit of having women included in top positions. For example, as stated communications improved greatly when women were added to the mix. Women are still a rare occurrence at CEO or CFO positions, so I think that is why they tend to take more initiative than men since they are still proving themselves. Emotional intelligence is a great asset to have though usually higher in women, so it is important to also have available. While women generally speak less than men, they tend to get their point across better.

I agree with the qualities presented about women in the video, the facts and statistics behind the claim are also very true and create a legitimate argument. I have worked under women, with women and supervised some. Leadership skills are very important in a business, the qualities described make women wonderful candidates for top business jobs. I feel like society and industry need to be considered while offering women leadership roles. Researching on culture and industry is very important, some societies and industries are just not female friendly.

I enjoyed this video. I think it is important the change that is being made in this day of the stereotype in women. For so long, men were always looked at to be superior and so it is interesting to see the statistics of the impacts women have had on huge fortune 500 companies. Although we have seen some statistics on what women have done, there are also many male CEO's who have improved a business tremendously. I don't think that we should ever focus on one sex, but we should focus on who is getting the job done better. Every situation is different and whoever fits best in that particular situation should be the best candidate for the job.

This video offers a lot of information I did not know. I definitely did not know that statistics show that women are more successful as leaders of companies; or they are at least proving to help their companies becoming more successful. I love this statistic because it wasn't too long ago that many people never thought a female could run a business. Some business are still skeptical about letting women even work at their company. These statistics obviously prove that effective leadership by a woman is very beneficial to companies and the business world in general.

Most of the Women bosses I've had were every hard workers and sometimes didn't seem to know when to stop working. Plus they had no problem correcting people for their mistakes. I'm sure as time progresses more there will be more women in upper management.

I really enjoyed this video I think it showed that women are just as capable at excelling in the workforce as men are. I definitely think that women are stereotyped into being not as hard working as men or not as aggressive. When most people think of a CEO a woman usually isn't the first person they think of. I thought it was interesting how many successful women CEO's this video actually did point out.

hmm from my experience i have found that women are much more emotional than men, and i do agree that they are able to tell if someone is emotionally distrought but many times i have seem where women are unable to but their emotions aside when they need to think rationally, this goes for men too at times but i would have to disagree that across the board that women are more emotionally intelligent than men. honestly i don't agree with a few points in this video one of them sharing that women speak less than men...i don't know where they got their facts from, but last time i was hanging around women they were talking 1000 words a minute, wile the men were sitting down either eating or watching something on TV. i mean i try not to generalize but i have heard from my personal experience 1, and 2 from every statistic since i was about 12 that women speak much much more than men on any given day. i like some of the statistics that they brought up about successful women in the workforce, but they were trying to paint a picture that women are in general better business leaders than men, but those were only a few instances where exceptional women have broken the mold and have accomplished amazing feats in the business world. overall this video had a very bias interpretation of information.

I enjoyed this video and found it interesting. However, I believe the main benefit comes from having a more diverse board. Women bring a different perspective and catch things men might miss. Women tend to be less intimidating which certainly could encourage better communication. The big thing I received from this video is that groups should be comprised of members with different backgrounds and experiences to provide perspective.

This is an encouraging video for a female about to enter the professional workforce. I think women have an unique mindset from men that allows them to focus on many aspects of a business and helps them to create a well-rounded organization, where as men typically focus on one aspect at a time. Also, I feel that women are more open to going out of their comfort zone and trying new strategies. In defense of the males, some women are too controlled by emotion to be able to take on a leadership role.

I really like this video! i think it highlights things that era often overlooked. As with the other leadership video where the man felt there was a mold for leaders i thing this is a strong rebuttal. This video truly analysis the impacts that women have mad in big business not to talk about the other women that are making changes just not noted. I believe that women are often pushed to the back burner doing the work but not receiving the credit because of the issues of acceptance and if we possess the capable knowledge.

I of course like this video because I am a woman, why wouldn't I? Honestly though I do not think that either men or women are better leaders. I believe that everyone has the potential to be a great leader as long as you have to skills necessary. Yes I think women are better communicators and have better empathy, but men have some great qualities, too.

Of all the info discussed in that video, the most interesting thing to me was how few female CEO's there are. To think that sexism in this day and age could still be possible is ludicrous. Even though the numbers are low now, there's still hope for the future.

Women really do bring a lot of skills to the table for leadership roles. Women are more compassionate by nature, and I think this is one of the things that helps them to be great leaders. They are able to communicate with their staff and show compassion for them as well. This makes their employees feel more valued and would eventually lead to a greater loyalty to the company and more productivity. Women today still face prejudice in the work force, but it is not nearly as bad as it once was. It reminds me of a really good video I saw on how women are perceived in the work force. It may not relate solely to business, but I feel like it has a good message.
